There was a meme someone made where a horse in BotW got stuck in the swimming animation even though it was on land. This music was used, because the horse looked like it was jamming.
I just want for the next pokemon game to have a random cave open up post game, with that one fisherman who always has 6 magikarp standing in the center. But when you challenge him all of his magikarp are lvl 100 with focus sashes on all of them and they use flail while this song is playing. The most badass final boss in pokemon.
This theme makes me feel like in this festival, Magikarp is seen as a symbol of determination which encourages trainers and their pokemon to keep fighting, never give up no matter how weak they are. It helps them believe that one day, they can eventually evovle and become the very best like no one ever was like a Magikarp evovles into a Gyarados.
@@rotemplatino91Magikarp and Gyarados are a reference to a story (that iirc, belongs to the Japanese folklore) about a Koi fish that struggles with the obstacles it faces and finally becomes a dragon. So yeah, that was always the idea
the fact that based on no information other than "Pokken" I was able to locate the correct track because the description contained "what horse", a year after the tweet in question, is a marvel of internet chaos
I'm pretty sure that I can imagine people's shock when this song wasn't originally for a Horse but for a Fish that is supposed to be useless in a video game, but I'm shocked that a song like this isn't used in more memes
This came on randomly while I was driving; and I honestly thought it would be some kinda anime OST, from some epic fight or something. The last thing I expected when I checked, was for it to be Magikarp related. 💀
I love the music of this game, i have poured hundreds of hours into it and the music is beautiful, but i'm so used to these songs being the background to wonderful, fast paced, epic fights with my closest friends and people online, displays of immense skill, combos so flashy it'll blow anyone's mind, moments of hype so intense i can't even begin to describe all the positive things these pieces of the OST were the background to, but now the battles cannot be separeted from the music in my mind. this game, and the Sequel (basically a remaster) were masterpieces, they forged, and still forge so many memories, so many fun times with friends, so much positivity in my head around it, so many years of skill, joy, reads, watching streams of people playing this game, and just so many other good things, and now whenever i hear the music on it's own it instills a deep sence of loneliness, sadness, sorrow, and nostalgia. Like i'm lamenting a time long gone, but it's not gone yet. i still have fun with this game, i still gather together with my friends every saturday to play and we have so much fun, but when i listen to the songs it all comes crashing down, like looking at the background of the mona lisa, without the portrait in the foreground, a body with no soul. Like good ol' days long gone, a dream of a better place forgotten for years, listening to the music on it's own breaks me in so many ways, i can't even listen to it anymore without feeling such a deep, inner sadness, it makes me think of how these glorius times will end one day, one day there will be no players online, all my friends will be too busy or they won't be able to spend time on this anymore, one day this game will lose it's last active player, i won't have the time anymore, one day i'll forget. one day i won't be able to have fun with this wonderful thing again. One day this will all be a like a lost dream, just another memory in an endless archive. a memory, of another time. please, whoever reads this, if you haven't already, try this game. it is outstanding although some charachters are annoying to deal with, it doesn't block out the gorgeous sun. Listening to OST without a battle in the background is unbearable to me now.
When that Magikarp you bullied evolved into a Gyarados and it randomly dynamax now its rampaging in your city/town now you & your friends with several others go into a "raid" to try to calm down the heartbroken "monster" (plus its raining and floods are everywhere) :)
Convenient how for the first time in 4 years I decide that I want to listen to this song which is apparently 5 months after a zelda video about a dancing horse released according to the comments
I can’t believe magikarp hasn’t been useless this whole time, they just don’t wanna stop dancing to this to do some pokemaster’s bidding, and you know what, respect ✊🏽💙 (this is forever in all magikarps’ minds, they hella jammin)
WHY HAD I ONLY HEARD THIS FUCKING BANGER NOW Why do people decide they want to put some of the best instrumental tracks ever hidden away in random fighting games.
