Apparently the reason is because in the first polandball/countryball comic, poland was in it and the artist accidentally reversed the flag, the polish community was mad, so to be jerks like the people we are, people annoyed them by putting poland's flag reversed, and it kinda just became a countryball/polandball rule...
I'll also explain Polish power: As you know well, Poland is between everythink. In years 1400-1800 (nearly) Poland had borders with only: - Prussia - Austro- Hungary - Teutonic order - Russia - Ottoman empire That is why Poland is named "country between everythink " as I said bellow. Located in such flat and easy to travel ( and conquer) theritory, surrounded by such powers, Poland needed power to survive. But what power? We doesn't have great technology. We got less peoples than most neighbours. Our focused on cavalry army was supremed by tanks in past 100 years. Even our diplomatic relations were weak. We only have that... SOMETHINK. And don't Understand me wrong - other countries have that too. Some of them have even more. That power is named- Patriotic Power. It sounds stupid, but that's true. In Polish history, there were two acts that prove that theory: First, are Winged Hussars. The elite troops, that are known for being most powerfull cavalery forces in history. You may say, that it was because of good training and equipment, but then, why even in 1939, Polish cavalery won all 14 charges against modern German infantry and 2 against better equipped German cavalery? And why 600 hussars were able to defeat 10 000 Turks in 1721? Second prove, is just one battle. Probably the only battle in history, that was miracle even in its name: The miracle on Wistula ( In Polish Wisła). In 1918, great war ended. And communists from Russia were trying to "free" (truefully slave) weakened Europe. In their way standed few countries formed after failure of Russian Tsarate, for example Finland, Ukraine, Poland. Finland regained independence, Ukraine was defeated, and communists started to fight Poland. They won most of first battles, but when in 1920 they came to Polish capital Warsaw, somethink extremely epic happened. After 123 years of German-Russian occupation, after many lost battles and mostly divided army, Poland still had power to fight. Power of loyality to their country, that made more than 40000 citisens join army in only one day . Power of sacrifice, that made them ready to fight without training. Power, that made Poland win against Soviet Union in mostly 1v1 war.
natan kol what? Germans didn't help soviets! When WW 1 ended, Germans were the ones who wanted to not allow Polish-German fights! And if you mean banderers, they were enemies of soviets as much as Poland.
Starhal anonim germany sent a ton of volenteers to the soviets as they where promised some of their old land back. and the banders yes where enemies with both of us but they saw us as the greater threat and decided to eleminate us first by helping the soviets
Starhal anonim you know your history well but just research this one time period again. ukrain was fighting with the soviets against us. seperatly at first but then they joined together to increase their efficency (bassically when we started losing for a bit)
I'll tell you the truth, why Poland is upside down. At end of 2nd WW USSR wanted to take German lands, but they had no land borders, because Poland was between them. So, USSR taken Polish eastern land, and wanted to give Poland German eastern land (btw., Poland was only nation that fought alongside allies and ended war with less land than started. ). Anyway, in order to match pieces, USSR flipped Poland around. This is my theory.
You see, when Falco created Polandball on Krautchan many many years ago, he drew Poland with red on top, the flag being upside down. The joke being "everything in Poland is upside down." This was the absolute basis for Polandball humor and lead the comics to move to global mockery and political stereotyping, for humor!
Hey guys! Im starting my own countryball thing and working on animation takes like hours. Ive only done like 3 slides and its been a few hours. So, good job! You took your time to do this, truly inspiring!
ArizonaMapping 1234, Let's admit that Poland being upside down is pretty stupid. Yes I am vengeful after receiving note from you that I should become a lowly corpse. It is you that will first be burried 6 feet under! Anyways, not very sure why you are getting defensive about it. You think acknowledging the rules and abiding by them gives you some sort of super status? Guess what? The newcomers don't give no shoot about it, and killing them will never solve the situation!
Joshua Chavez 1 - Poland looks horrible with the actual flag man, it looks FUCKING horrible 2 - white eyes sucks in a big white surface, and no I'm not talking about France or Italy
Big words coming from a person with a roblox profile picture try and stick to the parambellium of interactions with other nations mass of similar populous would you
Besides the whole meme where anything that has Poland ball in it, would have itself flipped, The real reason is basically Poland builds a rocket, it misfunctions, goes crazy, BARELY misses Poland, and with it that, Poland was flag was flipped.
Real Reason: (Credit to TechEmpire GT for commenting this too) In the first ever Polandball video known to man, the creator made a mistake. Which was drawing Poland's flag Upside down. And they did't really care too much to fix it after that. The reasons it was kept the same: 1. It annoyed the Polish people like hell 2. It's a rule of Polandball now 3. White eyes on a white surface looks ugly
Hey everyone who believes that Poland was upside down (or Indonesia neither Monaco), please read the polandball rules before you say to the mapper that poland was upside down. Like VoidViper for example, watch his video why he hates drawing poland, a lot of people say that Poland is upside down.
Like /u/dudeniker said. Polandball has lots of generally accepted sight gags like this, and different forums on the internet have different rules for polandball comics. Upside-down Poland is one that you see pretty universally though, as it traces itself back to the earliest comics. Poland in polandball is considered very backwards (which is best represented as upside-down), incompetent, and a little naive. He's the butt of many jokes for things he can't do, and a lot of it can be traced back to polish jokes and stereotypes. There are other odd sight gags in polandball that recur like Israel usually being represented as a translucent hyper-cube "because Jewish physics" (a reference to a Nazi theory) or because it was "created" (depending on who you ask), Great Britain always having a tophat and monocle and sometimes Hong Kong too, Kazakhstan is shaped like a brick because of its long running attempts to join BRICS, etc.
Bruh If they were part of countryball they would know Countryball Fans NEVER put Polands flag correct,Its meant to be Put Upside down And in Amino its strict Rule to Make sure Polands flag is Upside down
Did anyone see the episode of polandball where Poland fired a rocket to go into space but then it backfired, hit Poland, and turned Poland’s flag upside down.
Never really explained why poland's flag is upside down as a countryball. It's actually where polandballs started. Germans were making circles with eyes of poland's flag upside down to make polish people upset on the internet.
