I bought an Eaton polar air compressor in 2014, it was used to run a blast cabinet and pressure blaster 10hrs a day for a year and a half. I had a motor failure at that point, I contacted Eaton to acquire a replacement. When I talked to them I was astonished to find out that even though I was a half a year out of warente, the owner told me that they had issues with the motor mine was equipped with, and he would gladly replace it just cover the shipping! I have recommended them to everyone that was in the market since, I have not experiences better customer support in my life!
Hi I’m thinking of buying the yellow emax compressor 10 hp 120 gallon 38 cfm. I do sandblasted high density urethane signs it’s kinda like hard foam material. I need to be able to sandblast at 100 psi for like 45 minutes to an hour at a time depending on size of sign. I see you do quite a bit of blasting which seems to answer my worries on buying one of these for blasting. My question to you is how long did you blast non stop at one time and at what psi, and how did compressor perform, did it hold steady pressure or did you notice a decrease while blasting, basically did it keep up? Any input you have on using these compressors for sandblasting would be welcome before I put out 5 K on one. Thanks
@@mikesigncarver3803 sorry, i just saw ya question, we use ours in an industrial enviroment, blasting 10-15 hours a day at times, i blast at 95psi, the compressor is set at 140/100, no pressure drop and the compressor runs about 75-80% of time. Tho this is predicated by orifice/compressor flow rate as you know. I also have their re-frig dryer, runs without a hitch, always dry air in east tn with humidity in the 80's or more through the summer.
I have that HF auto drain put it on my compressor about 8 years ago still works the only thing it doesn't cycle long or open enough to drain all the water out
I bought a Saylor-beall ..air comprsoir from st.johns, Michigan industrial type 2 stage..mine is quieter in my opinion. 5hp. 705 cast iron pump. With an after cooler radiator. Mine run under 30 amps start up..comes with Baldor moter. Everything made in America..check out there web site..and u tube channel..for factory tour.. update ..nov2022...my comprsoir I use for my inground lift..that's mainly it and a few air tools.. I got the inground lift out of an old service station in land o lakes fl. Free..for the taking..a 1956 Rotary model # FP 46H it will make a great work table..as well
Yes I'm shure it awsome. I'm a one man shop at home..with my unit..its 6 months old..I had the factory put on a hour meter for the maintenance .I pd around 3 grand..but mine is a 60 gal tank..I piped it to my 80 gal old unit.forore air storage..if I need it il open the ball valve. I use my comprsoir mainly for my inground lift..I didnt want a above ground lift ..I want a clean looking garage area..no maintenance needed on my inground. It's been in my place since 1999....I removed it out of my dad's old service station..when he sold the property. It was 3 yrs old back when I got it..to service my own stuff. Great video u put out..nice unit..as well enjoy it..
I hope your running at lest 6 gauge wire hard wired in to I see the start up amps 60 amps and then 35-37 amps and why they ship the pressure shut off switch is lower the pressure the more volume of air is created that means you going to have useable air volume and its a good idea to change out the oil at 25 hours of run time on air pump(NOT a AIR MOTOR ) with a non detergent oil 30 weight ask Eaton what to use I have used Amsoil compressor 30/40 oil for 20 years and it works great and lowers temps Eaton compressor is a good co much better to work with them then any one and I think the pumps are made in china and the air tank is made in USA so don't just look at the made in USA on the tank its marketing Everyone that I talked to thinks the mech is USA made all of it and I tell them the tank is pretty much it USA made Eaton doesn't build the air ends at all good luck vary nice compressor !!
I been looking for a completely made in USA but I have been unsuccessful! I refuse to spend that much money on Chinese crap. They like to throw a US flag sticker on that says built in the USA 🇺🇸 or assembled in the USA 🇺🇸 but all that tells me is it’s made in china! I’d rather it be USA made and assembled in china!hell I’ll put it together myself. So frustrating that you can’t find good quality USA stuff anymore. Got to go to the flea market to get something in from the USA! If I’m going to be stuck with something from china I’ll just stick with my 800 dollar husky. No way I’m spending 4,000 plus on Chinese air compressor. Just my thoughts on it. Most people don’t care.oh yeah I did see the motor is made in Brazil but I want USA!
This is the link to the unit I bought (Price in link) + freight to Florida was around $800 with lift gate service - eatoncompressor.com/product/10hp-quiet-80-gallon-industrial-air-compressor-vertical/
