How do I check my heart beat with this thing while sitting here on the couch? Stop focusing on bs like social media sharing and concentrate on ease of use in ALL scenarios.
Yep understand fully your frustration. App installed and paired but no heart beat detected....guess I'm dead then 😂. Oh I've a pulse via my step trainer. Just this samsung s10 plus can't detect it
Polar Beat should allow users to change sport profiles during the same training session. Realistically speaking, most sport profiles typically involve others when you consider how most athletes train, such as warming up with a variety of cardio activities, strength training, cooling down and stretching with yoga. Offering this feature would provide Polar Flow with a more robust representation of an athlete's true workout.
Whats the point of this system if theres no way to have target heart rates and alerts otherwise you need to stare at your phone while working out. Zone training is endurance training 101 and this device doesnt seem to have a way to seamless track. Garmin has this down very well.
I love my polar watch!! I used to absolutely HATE running because had no idea how to do it properly (ran out of breath constantly and my side hurt so bad)...but the app and the watch have taught me so much about my own health and heart rate ZONES making running so much fun!! So, thanks Polar!
@Polar I don't have a Polar watch, just Polar Verity Sense and a Samsung cellphone, and I can't make the voice guidance tell me when I'm entering a heart zone. Do you know how I can make this work?
Why won't my polar beat connect with with my polar flow app and strava. I have the polar H7 heart rate censor. So frustrating how much time I have been spending trying to find the answers. I have tried everything that has been suggested.
Hello and thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you've experienced some difficulties with syncing Polar Flow/Beat to Strava. I suggest checking this page where we have put together instructions on this topic: support.polar.com/en/support/how_can_i_automatically_sync_my_data_from_polar_flow_to_strava If you have already tried these steps, please contact our Customer Care team via the support page on our website.
Can I pair my polar heart rate monitor to a wristwatch/ Apple Watch for my runs? I don’t won’t to carry my phone while running…I’d rather keep track of my heart rate by looking at my wristwatch!
Hi Micheal. You can connect Polar H10 to ANT+ compatible gym equipment, cycling computers and other training devices. ANT+ and Bluetooth connections can also be active at the same time. For more information, I'd advice you to check the following website: www.polar.com/en/products/accessories/H10_heart_rate_sensor?nogeo
I like it a lot, but * No option to turn down the music volume when the voice coach kicks in. * No option to select what the voice is coaching. * No option to make use of auto pause. * No option to make screen stay on all the time (it goes black during pause, otherwise always on) * No timer on the "Stop" button like Endomondo
I agree there could be better voice feedback. I used to have an app about 10 years ago which had a lot of voice functionality. Believe was Sportstrack Live but not too sure of the name.
On android I have the problem that when listening to my music the music won't "duck" when the polar beat app makes an announcement. This Feature is called audio focus on android. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution?
I have a few Polar HR monitor. I have the M430, the H7 and the H10 and always had iPhones, and always had problems pairing to my phone. I wish I had never got Polar but I kept given them a second chance. I done with Polar products. They rarely connect.
What is the use of creating a program on polar flow when it won't appear on Polar beat for tracking? Frustrated as this is the worst user experience design possible!
frustrating that there's no description of the app functions before you download it. i don't want the app for training purposes - i only wanted my HR reading & an alert if it goes over a limit I set. had to download the app to find it apparently doesnt do that 🙄
@@MasonBrothersVideo I did not unfortunately, the only app I know of that does a heartrate alert needs to be downloaded from a website bc its not on the app store & i didnt end up doing it (i should go look that up again actually), but i did find that the large HR numbers on this app & the different colours for different HR "zones" do make it pretty easy to keep an eye on what my heart's doing
Hey! Sorry to hear that, did you moisten the strap properly? A solution might also be found in this article: support.polar.com/en/support/FAQs/Troubleshooting_H7_heart_rate_sensor
Can anyone tell me how to find my split times with this app ??? All I can manage to find it the little circle I drag across which shows my pace throughout my run?!?!
So lets see....this is an app to be used with a heart rate monitor....but does the app even show the heart rate big enough to see if you are riding a bike with the fone mounted on the handlbars?
I have a Polar H9 with a Samsung Phone (Android 13). The voice guidance does not match the graph. Sometimes it is there, sometimes not. Also, the guidance is not clear, such as saying "You are burning fat" for Zone 1 and Zone 2, instead of just saying "Zone 1" when in Zone 1, and saying "Zone 2" when in Zone 2. I uploaded a video demo of using the Polar Beat app showing these issues. Not sure if I can post a link, but my channel does not have many videos anyway. I really like the sensor, but I cannot use it for outdoor runs with the Polar Beat app as it is right now. With treadmill runs, I do not need the app since treadmills in gyms connect to the Polar H9 sensor automatically and displays the heart rate. Please fix voice guidance.
Gentilmente, vorrei sapere, come mai dopo aver concluso un allenamento, non riesco più ad aprire e visualizzare il grafico dell'allenamento appena completato. Grazie!
I need something that will measure heart rate over a 24 hour period .I want to know what the maximum heart rate was ,so if it went to 150bmp and for how long it did that ,so if my heart rate was 150bmp for 10seconds and then for the rest of that minute it was 100bmp at a particular minute in a certain hour of the day ,can I see that ??? I don't want an average bmp I need it to update every 10 seconds or 5 second plus record that info
I am training now in Kathmandu above the elevation of 1300m. Unfortunately, this app does not show elevation gain and loss. It does not warn (voice) while entering into the various heart rate zones, it just announces- you are burning fat!
I use Polar Beat on Android in conjunction with a Heart Rate Monitor. At the end of each session on the rowing ergometer I assiduously record my times. Polar Beat then assiduously erases my training notes. Why would that be? I think I will go back to using Excel for note taking.
Looking for an option to set for voice updates for heart rate, pace, distance, etc. like I have had on other fitness apps. Am I missing something? Is this a feature you might include in a future update?
Hi there and cheers for reaching out! If you prefer to workout without your phone, you can alternatively use Polar H10 and record your heart rate during your session and transfer the data to Polar Beat afterwards.
Hi Alex! I am afraid you can't set Zone Locks in the Polar Beat app, but you can set zone lock in the wrist devices like Polar Grit X and Polar Vantage series. I hope this helps.
@@PolarGlobal is this still the case? I had a 15yr old FS1 Polar Watch and strap that let me set a min and max HR (1 zone) where the watch would beep to let me know if I wandered outside the zone. I'm trying to be Brand loyal here but I don't have $450 CAD to buy a watch and strap to give me that one feature I only really need.
Hi there and thanks for reaching out. You can create a training target in Polar Flow web service and then sync the target to your device. When you are adding the training target, choose the target based on phases, for example warmup, training and cooldown. Then you can choose the intensity of each phase based on heart rate. During the session, your watch will guide you and let you know when you're switching from one phase to another. I hope this helps!
Hi and thanks for reaching out. 🙌 Polar H7 HR sensor works with the Polar Beat training app, and the only thing you have to do is pairing your sensor with the app. Here's how to do it on iOS: support.polar.com/en/support/how_to_pair_h7_heart_rate_sensor_with_polar_beat_app_ios?product_id=47552&category=top_answers Here's how to do it on Android: support.polar.com/en/support/how_to_pair_a_heart_rate_sensor_with_polar_beat_app_android?product_id=47552&category=top_answers You can find more support information for your H7 here: support.polar.com/en/support/H7_heart_rate_sensor 😊 Hope this helps!
I don't have a Polar watch, just Polar Verity Sense HR monitor and a Samsung cellphone, and I can't make the voice guidance tell me when I'm entering a heart zone. Can anyone tell me how I can make this work?
Hey! Thanks for reaching out, have you tried the voice guidance with the Polar Beat app? If yes and it doesn't work, please find a possible solution in this article: support.polar.com/en/voice-guidance-not-working-when-using-samsung-phone
If I don’t have the watch or anything can I not view my calories it only shows how far I’ve gone and that’s it so do I need to have the watch to see cals ?
You prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last couple of months :)
Hi there! I'm afraid that's not possible, but you can change the order of your selected sport profiles, or remove some of them if you have too many. This can be done in the Polar Flow app: main menu > choose Sport profiles > tap the profile you want to remove, or drag and drop to rearrange > sync the app with your watch.
Yes you can view your heart rate straight from the Polar Beat app while training. After your are finished you can view all of the HR data of your workout straight from the Beat app.
Howdy and cheers for reaching out! I'd advise you to check the following web page for more information: support.polar.com/en/support/can_i_record_my_heart_rate_without_a_training_device_or_a_training_app
Hi there. 👋 To track your activity with Polar Beat, you'll need a Polar device to start with. Most of our current products are water resistant and they are suitable for swimming. You could for example choose from our heart rate sensor collection here: www.polar.com/en/products/heart-rate-sensors 😊 Once you have your HR sensor, you'll need to pair your Polar device with the Polar Beat mobile app (iOs: support.polar.com/en/support/how_to_pair_h7_heart_rate_sensor_with_polar_beat_app_ios and Android: support.polar.com/en/support/how_to_pair_a_heart_rate_sensor_with_polar_beat_app_android). Then you should simply put your HR sensor on, and start your swimming session in the Beat app. 💪 That's all! When you're done with your workout, simply stop it in Polar Beat. Hope this helps! 😊
Howdy and thanks for reaching out! We used to offer the possibility to buy certain features. However, nowadays you get all the Polar Beat features to your use if you have a Polar heart rate sensor. I hope this helps! :)
Hey! There's unfortunately no way to remove the device on the Polar Beat app, but if your H10 i connected to your Polar Flow account --> You can remove the device under the "products" page (click on your name in the top right corner --> products) 😉
@@PolarGlobal thank you! I got another question; why can’t we use the 10% discount code on your Amazon store? I’ve purchased ignite 3 on Amazon, then I discovered I could be getting 10% discount if I signed up for newsletter.
Hi there! Amazon is a 3rd party retailer so the 10% discount we give for Newsletter subscribers is valid only for ShopPolar as we can't give discount vouchers for 3rd parties. I hope this clarifies. 😊
How do I export data? Apparently I don’t have a polar flow account but I’ve already done over 20 sessions.. I need to export all the data from my HR recordings but nowhere on app can I figure out how... Im scared to click “sign in” when I go to my profile (which shows all my personal info) because I don’t want my session data which seems to be NOT connected to any account(???) to get lost forever!! Why would I be able to record HR without signing in to my account to begin with? Please help! 🙏🏼
Sweet, thanks for clarifying. I'd advice you to create the Polar Flow account and not to worry the training sessions will go to your Flow account as well. Just make sure you do not delete the Polar Beat app before you've created your Flow account. I hope this helps. 😊
@@PolarGlobal Hi, thanks for your reply. Are you saying create the polar flow account from the polar beat app or from a web browser? The polar beat app, whenever I open it, it gives me the option to "continue" or "sign in".. I just click continue and that's where all my workouts are stored. but if I click "sign in" after creating an account on a web browser, how do I know the workouts will all be there?
P.S. I've been told by someone else at POLAR that if I sign in now on the phone app, that I will lose all my data from when I wasn't signed in!! Is there any work around to not lose everything I've recorded over the past month? THank you again.
Hi Tony and thanks for reaching out! Polar Beat does not have cadence connection for cycling. However, with Polar Bluetooth Cadence sensor you can find out your most efficient pedal rate and analyse it in Polar Flow web service. I hope this helps! :)
@@PolarGlobal Also, is there a way for the app to simply show the heart rate and that's it? For those not interested in the tracking features, how can we simply SEE our heart rate on our phones when using the chest strap?
Hi there and cheers for reaching out. Yes, you can use Polar Beat with Polar H10, Polar H9 or OH1 to track your HIIT training. Activities like HIIT, strength and interval training, lend themselves more favorably to chest based HR monitoring. I hope this helps! :)
Howdy and cheers for reaching out. If I understood you correctly, you are wondering which sport profile would be most suitable for enduro? If so, I'd advise you to use "other outdoor" sport profile as it allows you to track HR, distance and calories burnt to name a few.
Hi there and thanks for reaching out! Have you updated your Polar Beat app? This should help. More information here: support.polar.com/en/updates/polar-beat-version-349-for-ios
@@PolarGlobal The bugs have not been fixed. after an exercise, i take the H9 off, clean, take the sensor away from the strap, close the app. Next time, i moist the strap, put the sensor on, put on my chest, open Polar app and the HR sensor is NOT ACTIVE, and on the Training tab, the heart icon has an orange circle and it says: "Beat can't connect to your sensor because it may be connected to another app." this is not the case. the only workdaround is to un-pair and re-pair the sensor. this is very annoying and has to be done every single time - can you please look into this? I tried other apps, like Elite HRV and the sensor was always detected so it is not faulty. i can't be the only iphone user with this issue...
Hello. Yes, you can perform a Fitness Test in Polar Beat with a compatible Polar device, for example, these HR sensors: www.polar.com/en/products/heart-rate-sensors. 🙂 Hope this helps.
Hi there and apologies for the inconvenience this might have caused. We are aware of this problem and we are working on it as we speak. Even though the syncing between 3rd party platforms is slow at the moment, rest assure your training sessions will be transferred there after we have fixed the ongoing issue. In the meanwhile, I'd advice to check this page in case you want to follow the progress: status.polar.com . Thank you for your patience!
Piece of crap. I had it for one year and it still does not connect the strap to the app. I tried wetting the strap, changing the battery, sign out of the app. I also deleted the app and signed up. Tried to up grade several times then it finally upgraded. But the hr sensor still will not connect. Do not buy. Piece of crap.
Hi! For HRV measurement you’ll need a chest strap heart rate sensor, such as a Polar H10, or a Polar watch that supports the Orthostatic test. To measure your HRV during sleep, you'll need a Polar watch which supports Nightly Recharge™, and can then provide insights into your HRV and more each morning with your ANS Charge metric.
I was skeptic about *Agoge Diet* because I thought that I would have to eat only broccoli to lose weight. I am eating only food I like and still losing weight.
Do i have to keep the app open or can i leave it in background? Like when I’m cycling i wanna switch to other apps for music and all so will it still track the distance covered?
I'm on Humana Medicare Advantage because I am on a very low, fixed income. Why is there not a compatible device available for free to take advantage of the Humana365 benefits and such? LAME. I'm not impressed.
Question: I’ve got an H10 and Vantage V. Are you supposed to use their fitness trackers simultaneously? In other words, are you supposed to use Polar Beat and the Vantage V fitness tracker at the same time? They seem to sync the same heart rate when turned on, but I’m concerned if it is skewing my Strain and Tolerance results in Polar Flow.
Hendrik Härle thanks for the reply. Polar told me the same. It’s just so weird, because if you run them at the same time, they link up with the same HR, almost like it’s made to do that. It’d be cool if they could do an update where the two devices maybe use that feature for a more accurate HR or enable you to track HR on Beat without lugging your phone.
Hi there! You can change the password in Polar Flow website, check this link and press "sign in" where you get the chance to request a new password and change it: flow.polar.com
I’m not finding a setting for voice updates for distance, pace, heart rate, etc. I’ve had these features on other fitness apps. Is this something you might include in a future update?
