Well that depends I think. If you want basic stats such as average speed, distance, and maybe heart rate, but do not want to use your phone all the time, then yes this would be perfect. This is small enough and cheap enough to warrant use for rides like that. Also, if you decide to take riding metrics more seriously in the future then you have room to add cadence, and power sensors while not killing your phone battery, and using data every ride. The Polar M450 can show speed based off of GPS and by using the polar flow app on a mobile device, you can wirelessly sync activities to Strava. You can also hook up the M450 to a computer and import activities to Polar Flow online which will then automatically sync with Strava once you put in your account info. Thanks for watching!

Daniel, Yes, using the polar flow app on iPhone does allow for wireless sync! This is the only way that I sync and I have had zero problems using this method. It even syncs with Strava at the same time. Thank you for watching and for your question!

Fernando, the polar M450 syncs with the polar flow app on your smart phone, which then syncs to Strava. So although it does not directly sync with Strava, it does wirelessly sync to your phone, then Strava. Im glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for watching!

Yes it is compatible with any bluetooth sensor (power, speed, cadence, heart rate etc...) does not have to be Polar brand sensors either

Ok thanks, looks like only displays temperature, Polar cheapskates. They record it on my older Polar devices, can't believe they omit a simple thing like this on their new devices

Luis, English: To have the slope show, you must have a candence meter paired to the device, and have added the slope to show on your screen through the Polar Flow app. The temperature as well can be added through the Polar Flow App. I hope I answered your question!
