its so nice that Rob loves that jaco pastorios bass player fella enough to produce a documentary about him and didn't leave him to the doldrums very compassionate
Kevin LoVullo. He's been a talented musician even before he was offer a job in Metallica for your information, also he's just being too humble about it, since he's not an arrogant like Lars and co.
If this was just after puppets and justice for all, I'd agree with you. But they suck since and just get worse and worse. I feel sad for Robert who is a genuine good dude and creative musician that's in a control freak band that doesn't let the bass do anything but play root notes over power chords. Lars is seriously the worst drummer to be in a band and seems like a total A-hole. Lars can't play anything that's not in 4/4 and exactly on beat. They should have fired him 30 years ago. I wished Metallica would have expanded and grew as a band. Instead they have simplified and dumbed down what spark they once had. They only exist because old metalheads want to here " jump in the fire" in arenas. Robert is the best musician in the band who never gets a voice to be heard. Sad. I'll put those two albums as classics that will stand the test of time. But Metallica as band.... Garbage.
Metallica new songs "Atlas Rise" and "Moth into the flame" are masterpieces....And doing this all at 50+ years old...Shoutout to Judas Priest, they still putting out great music at 60+ years old...Check out "Firepower" by them
Such a great interview! Trujillo is a beast! If you guys dig Metallica or A7X. You should check out my band "Zherra" if you'd like too. Tell us what ya think. Thanks guys\M/
Goddamn, ya think y'all could record a video with the volume pushed up a bit? The irony is, this is a music channel with no fucking volume behind it. Shame, shame......
He is soo much better than Metallica. I loved justice and puppets and regard them as masterpieces. Since then they've been horrible. Robert is the best thing in this band. I feel bad for him really. He's so articulate, creative, and just seems so down to earth. Unfortunately he's in a band that puts the bass in the back seat, more like the trunk. I wish he'd branch out and make some real music. Being stuck with an idiot like Lars is stifling musically. I'd love to hear Robert get to express himself. That's never going to happen with Metallica. So sad and a waste of a musician.
Nakke144 he's not an idiot as in dumb. He's quit smart actually. He just seems like such an A-hole. Plus he's a terrible drummer and I really think he holds them back rhythmically.
