Save money on gas! upside.app.lin...
If you haven’t heard of the getupside app you gotta put it on your phone now! You’re putting gas in your car anyway right!? Why not get some of your money back? I love this app for saving on gas. My code BF47K gets us both a 20¢/gal bonus: upside.app.lin...
getupside is a DC based startup that is growing fast! available in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area, as well as Florida right now, start saving on gas and food today!
I have the FE installed now and it shoots great, maybe just a few more kinks to work out but otherwise I have never been as excited about getting to use one of my guns, I cant wait to take it to a game
yes all this is pretty expensive but not as costly as it could have been had I purchased everything brand new
base gun is an airsoftgi G4 A1 Hard which is basically a G&G CM polymer bodied M4 with a 10 inch Noveske rail - $265.00 (gun only, this does not include the magpul furniture, light, or optic)
Polar star fusion Engine retails for $450.00 - purchased for $340.00 shipped
Amped Airsoft 2 liter air rig with flex coil line - $175.00
rig: www.ampedairsof...
flexi line: www.ampedairsof...
Brand New Empire 68/4500 fiber wrapped air tank retails around $140.00 - purchased for $90.00

joe son of Borneo you hardly need to upgrade a polar star, if you want more power then turn up your air pressure to 120psi. If you need even more then you can extend the poppet dwell settings and install a tightbore barrel. For steel bbs you must buy steel airsoft size bbs you cannot outfit this to shoot anything other than a 6 mm projectile.

ive had it about a year and havent had any issues with the engine itself not, its a great piece of machinery. it barely needs any maintenance. ive taken it apart once to clean and lubricate it

thanks for saving me the trouble of replying to a stupid comment, polarstars are definitely worth the trouble...rof and fps are not everything but the fact that they are so adjustable on the fly to whatever rof and fps you want and so reliable definitely makes them worth every bit of money and time I have spent on it

if you're still using the same setup you'll want to change your hop up chamber, the G&G chamber doesn't really mesh well with the front end of the fusion engine. I recommend the prowin chamber and using o rings instead of the spring that goes in front of the hop up chamber. I've been playing at TAA for a couple of years now but I don't think I've seen you around.

its a high pressure air compressor, most places use a cascade system where they have a bunch of large tanks that they fill up and they are connected to each other and they fill paintball tanks off the larger tanks rather than directly off the compressor. I think typical costs are around 1.50 - 2.50 per 1000 psi depending on how large your tank is
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
think about that for a bit longer, the fusion engine does have alot of features that you could get from a highly upgraded AEG but these features are much easier to get and there are many other things you dont get with an AEG. first of all, a user friendly interface via the FCU, incredibly consistent performance out of the box, push button adjustments to control your loading nozzle to optimize feeding and adjust rate of fire, adjusting volume and duration of air down the barrel
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
yes, closed bolt mode shortens the time between pulling the trigger and the bb being fired because instead of loading a bb and then firing it, it fires the bb first and then loads the next one.

you alter the power by swapping loading nozzles and turning the air pressure up or down, the burst setting is changed with the FCU on the FA (full auto) setting, you can either have it on full auto or a burst of 1-9 rounds at a time
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
lol yeah I watched a ton of videos and looked on a ton of forums to find answers to all my questions. you should get one. one of the best airsoft purchases Ive ever made.

depends on the rail system but all you need to do is unscrew the big cylindrical nut on the upper receiver and it should just drop out
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
thanks for the compliments, the rail is a madbull Noveske 10.5" CNC aluminum rail with QD swivels in it. check out the link at the bottom of the description for a tumblr post with a breakdown of the parts to my kit :-)
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
temperature does not really affect it. if your tank gets hot it will raise the the pressure in the tank but there is a regulator on the tank and another regulator on the air line controlling the pressure of the output so its always the same no matter what the pressure in the tank is
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
just got my stuff from ehobby, I got a prometheus 285mm 6.03 stainless barrel, hard bucking and a prowin hop up....all I can say is wow, these parts ooze quality its crazy, I had to put a spring on the hop up to push it onto the FE to get a better air seal but once I did Im getting a consistent 300fps @ 75-80 psi with .25 gram bbs. thanks for the suggestion

well there are a few options, i go to a paintball shop in laurel to get my tanks filled, if you need the convenience of doing it at home you could buy a shoebox compressor, or get a scuba tank to refill your tanks a few times then take the scuba tank to get filled somewhere

I know this is late, but the Madbull KFH and KX3 amplifiers are actually louder, and designed differently than the Socom Gear ones. The Socom Gear Noveskes are made just for the look, while the Madbull ones have little cones inside of the flash hider that are adjustable to change your loudness and sound.
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
you have to get your tanks filled at a paintball store or scuba shop or somewhere else where they have high pressure air unless you want to invest in home system like a shoebox compressor or a scuba tank. the regultor on the tank drops the pressure output to a workable level for the system
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
its a sport, bottle opener, flathead screwdriver and has three different sized hex-head nut drivers on it as well...its a multi tool
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
no motor noise, instant trigger response, optional burst feature out of the box, easily adjustable velocity in the field. no more opening up your gearbox in the lobby to cut a spring because your new gun exceeds the FPS limit, just turn a dial and lower your power. best of all when compared to a gearbox, the fusion engine is incredibly low maintenance, it requires lubrication and thats about it, nothing ever goes catastrophically wrong in a fusion engine the way we all know it can in a gearbox
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
the wiring will go wherever you want it, i think it comes wired to the rear but you can just open th engine and make the wires stick out of the front no problem if you need to
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
i love it, Ive had my G4 for long time and it has lasted great. the only thing I dodnt care for was the fake blowback, I disabled it after awhile because it made diasassembly of the gearbox a pain in the ass, but the polymer is strong and flehible, nothing wobbles etc etc, its a great gun for the price, and I really love the madbul Noveske CNC rail...it oozes quality, thanks dude :-)
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
fps limits are 335 with a .2g bb and 300 with a .25g bb they are strict about the limits so if you are over you wont get to play. if you want a gun that shoots hot plan on swapping/cutting the spring
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
thanks for the comment on my channel :-) I got the fusion engine on the airsoftretreat forum classifieds section, i havent looked recently but there is probably one up for sale now, no gurantees on the price. but you should try some other forums as well, you may find someone with one to sell. you can try ebay as well but i never see many fusion engines on there, usually just whole kits
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
i think most people understand what im saying. compressed Co2 and propane etc are liquid when compressed and are used in their liquid form in airsoft guns, compressed air/nitrogen are still in a gaseous form when compressed to the pressure we use for these systems
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
at first yes, check and make sure that your hop up is pressed against the fusion engine snugly. stick your finger in the magwell and try to push it around, it should not have any slack to move back and forth, also, it may just be that the mags you are using do not feed fast enough for your current nozzle dwell setting on the FCU so you can tweak that as well
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
the fusion engine 2lists for 450, I got mine from on a forum for 340, the lines cost anywhere from 140-200 unless you want to get the parts and make your own regulated line. as far as I know its made for most guns that use a regular Marui spec version 2 gearbox, so Marui, ICS, G&G, Cyma, JG etc, but there are some that you will run into small isues where you may need to do some filing or trimming of the receiver or the engine but for the most part it wil fit. KWA definitely requires modification
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
everything about a fusion engine is better than an aeg. except the fact that you need an air tank but I dont mind that. everything is adjustable literally at the push of a button or a turn of the regulator knob. velocity, rate of fire, multiple burst modes, nozzle dwell to improve feeding, closed bolt shooting mode etc etc etc. it eliminates gear noise and has instant trigger response, no more worrying about things going wrong inside, its a simple system with just a few moving parts
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
not a regulr shop compressor. these tanks hold 4500 psi. the compressors that do that are thousands, sometimes tens of thousand of dollars
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
thanks I hadnt considered looking to the paintball world for a tank pouch :-)
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
no just the receiver and stock are plastic, the barrel and buffer tube are metal. mine has a noveske rail system on it because it was an airsoft gi G4 custom gun, the stock G&G combat machine gun will have a polymer handguard on it, if you get the railed version, the rail system is polymer.
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
yes adjusting the PSI is one way of adjusting your velocity
@brazilianEYEreportU
@brazilianEYEreportU 10 лет назад
take a look at that chrono "everyone in the field should wear GOOGLE at all times" lmao
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
not sure what youre asking me. the polarstar's FPS is adjustable, where i play the limit is 300 with a .25 also the polarstar has nothing to do with Co2, but plenty of people use C02 guns as long s they meet the velocity requirements
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
probably yes. it can be adjusted pretty high
@ToAshes87
@ToAshes87 11 лет назад
the Fusion Engine was build around the VFC platform including the VFC hop up unit. The G&G units back end is a little too wide so it wont fit into the engine properly without being forced in. When ever i take apart my p* my vfc Hop Unit is almost stuck to the engine. Take a dremel to the back end of the g&g hop up and it should make re installs a little better as well as air seal. Best of luck.
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
its a magpul, it makes it easy to pull mags out of your pouches fast
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
the point of the fusion engine is that is is many times more reliable than a GBB or an AEG, it is also more consistent, not as affected by temperature, its low maintenance, and many features are adjustable literally at the touch of a button. everyone would rather have a GBB if there were as reliable or high performance as a fusion engine for the cost but they're not. as far as AEGs go, the fusion engine replaces the complicated gearbox with a solenoid engine, simple, reliable, high performance
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
yes its compressed air, you use it up and refill it
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
the fusion engine itself is incredibly light so it doesent add any weight to the gun, but the tanks and hoses add a few pounds, i think my tanks together weigh about 8-9 pounds
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
yes you can make it higher than you will ever need or want, I play CQB so I keep it around 300
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
i think a polymer bodied gun is an excellent way to save money, or finding a gun with nice externals in a boneyard or being sold as is for parts on ebay since youre just gonna remove the gearbox anyway. my gun is a polymer G&G combat machine M4 with a ton of additions obviously
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
the air rig is the AKA 2 liter air rig from amped airsoft dot com with the addition of a flexi line coil, the tank is an empire 68/4500 and I also have a ninja 90/4500
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
yeah it is, in this video i has having air seal issues I hadnt discovered yet. my hop up needed to be pushed back onto the fusion engine tightly, once i adjusted that i got the consistency
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
as far as I know there wont be any work getting the stuff in the buffer tube. its just a little fragile feeling because you want to be careful with all the wired stuffed in there but otherwise its easy. i should mention that the 9V battery does not actually go in the buffer tube, its a little too wide so it is in the stock which means that i cannot collapse the stock all the way, but there isnt much space in a buffer tube for the FCU and a battery anyway unless you want to really cram.
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
yes thats true, but its the act of the compressed liquid expanding into a gas that powers gas guns whereas HPA systems the gas/air is in the same form all the time. we just use the term "gas" when referring to compresssed liquid gases like propane even though youre right technically they are all gases
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
I would reccomend it for everything. its universal because everything is so easily adjustable. you could have two uppers for the same FE and swap between them for field or CQB
@crazewolfe5734
@crazewolfe5734 11 лет назад
ok. Love the gun and the sight, great vid. And love that sound when u shoot it.
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
never even heard of them, but when I get some more money ill start looking at all the ways to optimize my gun. new nozzle, hop up, and barrel for a start. I have a madbull 6.01 barrel right now but its not incredible
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
it really was drop in, the only thing i had to modify was the bar on the selector plate so it engaged the switch better. if you put an FE in a combat machine however your charging handle will no longer be functional so you have to open the dust cover with your fingernail
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
the only way youre gonna increase your air usage if by turning the pressure up, or increasing your poppet dwell. what bbs you use will not affect that. heavier bbs are better for accuracy
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
this system is computer controlled. its what you would call electro-pneumatic, so inside are solenoid valves which are small valves that open and close on command from an electrical signal. so the battery is just power for the onboard computer and is responsible for the tiny bit of electricity needed to open and close solenoids, its the same technology that tournament grade paintball markers have been using for a long long time
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
i dont have an exact count but somewhere around 3k i think with the 68 ci tank. polarstar has a calculation they use, look it up, its a good representation of what you should get with a system in good shape

the fusion engine is a compressed air system yes. the sight is an eotech 552 clone

I have a P* too if you want to save air i highly recommend getting the low flow valve from amped it gave me an extra 1000 rounds per fill
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 12 лет назад
well if you want to save money then I think that it would be best to get the FE and install it in whatever M4 you have that you want to convert. I was a bit sad to just remove the gearbox from this gun and replace it with the FE because I have done so much work on that GB over the years but I have no regrets, this system is the best of the best. if you are interested in adding a gun to your collection then get the PR 15, but I was in no need of a new gun, just a better gun lol

you can use whatever kind of tank you want as long as your air rig can regulate the pressure down to 80-120 psi. my tank outputs 800 psi so i dont use an slp air line
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
I agree completely, and i also think its completely uneccesary to spray people with full auto and its quite unpleasant to be on the receiving end. most games where i play are played in semi only but even on full auto games i typically use semi only because if youre actually aiming you dont need to spray and pray
@pootinhammer

I would get the short one but thats just because I prefer compact guns. id say all around its a good choice, I dont thinka 4" longer barrel would give you tht much more accuracy so the only reason I would want to get the longer one is for more possible rail space if thats important to you

You can get better longevity with your air tank using a high power nozzle with low psi. For example, red nozzle is rated to 500 fps right? Soo lets say you're going for 350 fps, and normally with the blue you'd have to do like 100 psi. With the red, you can use 80 psi and get the most shots out of your tank being that you're using less air volume. I even heard people going lower than 80 psi with the red nozzle. And less air volume makes your gun quieter too.
@pootinhammer
@pootinhammer 11 лет назад
its powered by high pressure air, not gas. barely any moving parts, solenoid valves open and close to load bbs and release air down the barrel. efficient, no motor noice, no gearbox maintenance, adjustable fps, rof etc etc

Not sure if you're aware, but the HPA setup you're using was built for paintball. If you need anything else, paintball stores will probably have a wider selection on that front then airsoft. Also, check out tank pouches (paintball) for that HPA tank. They're made in all sorts of colors usually for MOLLE. Will work better then a dump pouch if that backpack doesn't work out :)

polarstar has a formula on their site i think where you can calculate that. you need the volume of your tank and the PSI
@pootinhammer

you could build your own, or probably find a cheap one. you just need another stage of regulation to get the PSI down. I ise the AKA 2-liter air rig woth flexi line from amped airsoft

this was after first installing the engine, i hadnt had time to work out all the kinks but the low velocity issue is gone now, I found out that my hop up was not firmly seated against the engine so it moved back and forth slightly when the nozzle moved so the air seal wasnt tight, but that issue is fixed now.

it is an expensive hobby, but if you really like it like most of us do that really get into, i dont care how much money im spending on it anymore lol. the polarstar system is costly and may not be the best choice for someone just getting into airsoft because of the initial investment but if you already have HPA tanks and stuff it may be a good choice for you
