A short clip of some Polar Stratospheric Nacreous Clouds that I filmed today above the Aurora Cathedral in Alta Norway. These clouds form between 15 and 30Km high in extremely cold air that is -80c or below. They only occur after sunset and are extremely bright in the darkening sky. Shot with a Sony A1.

Very beautiful and Nacreous Clouds are often confused with Noculuient Clouds but the first are in the stratosphere and the the second in the mesosphere.Nacrous Clouds are far rarer too and I have never seen them but I saw some Noculuient Clouds last night.Also a seasonal difference Nacreous winter/Noculuient summer.
