I did a thorough research and additionally tried hands on so many different watches, but ended up buying the Vantage V3 over FR965 and 265. I’m super happy with the choice!

How's it working for you? So far I'm rocking the first gen Pixel Watch but Polar will likely be my next brand of choice.

@@afanoflafear Still happy with the choice! I did not want a full fledged smart watch as i find it distracting and rather need it for different sports tracking and a premium feel and good screen as the watch is used daily.

Dear Polar, please consider these features. -Get a strength training workout like Garmin and Coros. -Add Ability to edit and add sleep duration. I went to bed for 1 hour in the afternoon. Statistics should reflect this. -Add desktop statistics reports on resting heart rate and tables to see progress. In the mobile version of Polar flow you can see your resting heart rate and there are no sleep parameters in the web version. add sensor icons in the training report - if I used the H10 or Verity Sense chest sensor during training so that this can be seen in the report. -Add statistics or reports on ANS rate to desktop to see progress. -The ability to add sneakers or bicycle equipment like in strava to track its wear.

Coming from the V2, I thought the V3 is a no-brainer but I am not 100% convinced while I had the Garmin Forerunner 965 as a comparison. What I miss on the V3: - Ability to wake up the watch via Touch to check the time. FR965 does it. - Lifting your hand does not wake up the display to show the time in a reliable manner. FR986 did that one better. - Muss less functions in the iOS app Polar Flow vs Garmin Connect - Furthermore you have a 2nd app (Polar Beat) while this is missing in Garmin. Streamlining Flow and Beat should be an action point for Polar. - Number of screen widgets limited - No Pay function - Armband could be softer to ease the process of putting the watch on/off There is only one function that I cannot live without which might eventually move me to the V3 although the FR965 is the better product: While doing indoor cycling I cannot have a real-time Zone 1-5 overview in the Garmin app which is possible with Polar Flow but some of the points above are really annoying with V3 and I consider keeping the V2. New is not always better.

Great watch no doubt! I have enjoyed in past years my vantage v2 and grit x pro. However daily burned calories way off (500-800 more than other watches). Also i was missing in both watches barometer profile...

Back in the days the v800 was all you need. The vantage v suddenly came out. It was in beta but update after update better. Used it for years. Skipped the v2. Because it was basically an v1. The v3 looks promising. But to be honest. The v1 is still going hard. Bought it almost on launch and see no need to to upgrade every time. Good to know the v3 is there. I am sure the v4 will be again better…. Maybe then I upgrade. But after using it hardcore as an proffesional athlete for years I started to know myself, my limitations etc. It was becoming stupid to track everything again and again. The polar vantage v has so much data. That there is only one watch for me. And that is the polar vantage v series. Still because mma is my main focus now I don’t have that much value on it. If I fight I need to have my wrists free. So my v1 is gathering dust.

Hi Michael! Good to hear that your Vantage V1 has served you well. However, I understand that using a watch in certain sports is inconvenient, in which case a separate heart rate sensor such as Polar H10 or Verity Sense can serve as a better solution for you.
