I have a 96 Polaris I’m putting grippers skis on. The bolt is seized into my spindle as well. The rubber spindle cushion for the gripper ski isn’t thick enough on my Indy spindle. There is a lot of movement. I’m unsure what to do
I have a question regarding front and rear suspension upgrades for older snowmobiles from the 90s Polaris Indy 500 or xlt .etc. Can you just put newer and longer front shocks and spring to make the ride smoother over bumps especially, or do I have to put a completely new suspension: trailing arms, sway bar, endlinks etc just wondering as I heard all the older snowmobiles have a pretty rough ride and I am looking into getting one for next winter and was wondering if I could just put on different shocks and springs so that way I could have a smoother ride over bumps
PowerModz Would a 2" lug track fit that particular sled or would the lugs rub inside the tunnel? that's something i have been trying to find out before i buy a track i have a 1994 XLT and i need a new track so i want to upgrade.
Hey, I have a 97XLT with the extra 10 suspension... I have a line on a 144" skidoo track. What other things did you have to do for the skid to mount besides new mounting holes? Did you have to modify anything else? I really want a 144" track with 2" paddles. My sled is completely stock otherwise. I imagine I would have to gear down to a 8T from the 9T.
If you have a Skidoo 159 skid, then you have a Skidoo-type track... so you have Skidoo's drive pitch? How exactly did you find a track that would fit that skid, but has the old Polaris 2.52 drive pitch?
Hey just wondering how the hell you fit that 1 ¾ paddle track in the xlt mod sled!! did you have to do any mods ? (different chain case ? remove the front heat exchanger?) I'm having a track issue with my 500 classic touring mod sled ! thanks !! keep up the awesome video's !! love the XLT!!
Primary question. I see you have Blue spring and 10MW installed there. .... Q: what is the wot peak rpm you see there? What is engagement rpm? I am getting 4900 and 8900 which I feel are too high.
Question About The Oil Delete?? Just wondering if you left the oil pump arm hanging down without any cable attached? I bought a oil deleted XLT and all likes are still hooked up. Just the cable is removed.
Hey ishobie I have a quick question, I have a xlt and I am modding it and was wondering about the seat. I am getting the same seat you have. How did you mount it? With the gas tank? Thanks
hey sweet sled, I have a 95 xcr 600 and 94 xlt 600. I want to mod one out or sort of combine the two i was just wondering what would be the best to do(if at all possible). I want to take the suspension and track out of my xlt and put it in my xcr as well as put triple pipes on it. I want to put a newer style seat on as well like you did. I'm just curious as to find out if i should just put triple pipes on my xlt motor and just keep the suspension on there or is it worth using the xcr motor THX!
Those XLT's were not ment to be speed demons anyway haha. But Love the sled! I am about to extend my 98 RMK from 136" to 159" and I cant wait to not get stuck... as much XD
hmm, check the HP ratings on the xcr motor - some were about the same as the xlt but i think the xcr motor is more powerful - do a compression check and just figure out what engine is in the best shape - and make sure you clean your carbs and synch them!
for the pips all you did was cut out the part over the left shock, some cutting in the front, and little bending on the right? is that all? i have the same sled and i want to put pipes.
@@dirtyfacegeorge9938 yeah I suspose, never thought of it to be honest. I only have them wrapped where the pipe is small, I dont have the big bend wrapped, just have factory style heat reflectors next to those
are you able to make a 1996 polaris indy 500 hood out of carbon fiber for me? I will pay you. I am going to mod my sled and i'm trying to loos as much weight as possible. If you will let me know how much money it will be, we could work something out.
