Can’t get to your page as my iPad won’t let me because of a certificate issue. I’m sure I’m not the only one and you might be missing out on money as a result
Thank you, sir! I am very grateful for your video. It contained all the steps I needed, and let me replace the cord myself instead of paying for the service. Appreciate it. Couple tips for people looking to do the same: - I had the error 10 message, I tried another video to see if I had a loose wire in the male end of the plug. I did it all the things suggested -- still had the error 10. So I figure it was the swivel part that had a leak or corroded, so I bought a new cord. - For this video, as others have pointed out, you dont need to unscrew the giant brass nut. Just dont touch it and pull off the propeller firmly but gently. - You need to make sure the motor block section gets put back in the correct spot / seat. Everything will be flush if you put it back correctly. I didnt at first, and the back end curve near the propeller cover was not flush, and then I couldn't fit the propeller cover on all the way. Dont force anything - I just unscrewed it, repositioned it again so everything flush, and voila, all good!
No need to take the brass nut off where the fan is, fan pulls off the shaft. That nut also needs to be quite tight as it acts as a seal to stop water entering the motor block
Thanks for your video. Made my repair go quickly. I also agree no need to remove brass motor nut. The replacement cord I got from Zodiac directly also did not have the zip tie - tie down point. That would have helped....
What an excellent illustration. It’s exactly what I needed. The cord got melted when it got caught next to the engine of my power washer. It’s toward the end and I’m ordering if I can just cut the bad part off and then put the wires together and shrink wrap the repaired section so it’s waterproof. Anyone have any idea about that? Also, what’s that cord called so I can just see how much they run if I just replace instead of repair it?
Just repaired our cord where it enters the robot at the "elbow" Successfully cut, spliced, and heat shrunk the break. We shoved the repaired section into the housing of the robot as it was close to it. I would imagine with enough waterproofing, you can do the same further down the cord. Best of luck.
Hey wondering if someone could help me. I replaced my cord but now everyone the robot is running the cord just gets twisted and after 20mins I have to untangle the thing. Hey have a solution to this
I can’t figure out where the cord needs to be after you get the screws put back into it. It’s kind of loose in there and I can’t get the bottom to line up because of it.
The replacement cord didn’t come with clips. I was able to get the cord to lay down in that spot. It’s the cord part that’s by the motor that I can’t get to lay right. It’s like the black piece won’t lay flat because of it.
if you are going to post a video on how to fix something dont just half do it film and post the whole thing with out skipping steps and have your steps in the right order and as others have said no need to remove the nut to get the fan blade of just use a screw driver behind the fan at the shaft and the motor you removed the brass nut off must sit in a certain spot inside the motor block so that it seals properly from water and once you undo that nut there is no way known that that seal is good once you put the nut back on you have to open up the motor block to be sure the motor is in the correct position
