I really like the way you explain things , you go into detail for guys like me that need more knowledge of why parts need to be changed . Thanks for the great info 👍
Thanks for the video. Nice job. I would've liked to have seen you pry on the engine with the new mounts to show movement. My 2012 SB 800 mounts look very similar.
Streeter- I just found this video, and need to replace my motor mounts. Kind of new to the game, but one of the comments asked if you replaced the four left side bushings in all four corners. I have a 2019 Axys, and I’m not sure if I need to do these bushings or where they are at. Figured if I did, that I would do it while doing the motor mounts. Can you help a newbie out.
I blew my primary clutch up last week, the inner sheave just grenaded. Would sloppy mounts cause that? I'm nervous about putting a new clutch on (600 bucks) without knowing why it happened
So did u put 4 left side bushings in all 4 corners? I think that's what everyone has been doing. I've ran the SLP Tq arm and still on my stock bushings, 5k+ miles, gonna check them out before season starts. The jackshaft bearing, pop the seal and push some grease in it , replace seal, drive shaft u can do the same. No need for north star kit if u check the drive shaft yrly, I'd rather inspect mine then just keep pumping grease into dirty moisture grease, since it's not sealed.
No problem. They were good for the season. In the fall of 2019 they’re bad once again. It’s part of the preseason maintenance at this point. Along with clutch service.
I recommend the slp tq arm, no belt issues, I have mine geared, clutched and full BMP Stage 2 and run sled pretty hard, numerous guys ride it, mainly Doo guys trying to break it, or to see what a good running sled is supposed to feel like lol
Might want to look up the part number. Polaris calls them mounts. www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts/a/pol/54d4f45c87a8651710e67ed6/engine-mounting-all-options
Northstar Performance makes an axys driveshift fix kit that has a grease fitting so you can grease your shaft bearing. Look them up on facebook and shoot them a message. 45$ shipped. I did one on my '18 XCR.
I'll need to look but I'm pretty sure the forward mount is directly behind the clutch. Even if you were able to get a allen key in there. You wouldn't have enough clearance to get the bolt out.
mine was rusted bad,,and seized on,,i had to heat the fuck out of mine with a torch,,,,but anyway, you never mention why you didnt repack that PTO bearing with grease while you have the clutch off..juss saying that wouldve been a great time to check it..like this video i do it here...i know polaris isnt know for it ,,but why chance it?? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RwiSj6XY-Tc.html
@@StreetersGarage yeah i know..skidoo has a oiler too but its garbage..just saying would make sense to unscrew the 4 bolts while you right there anyways....juss seems kinda lazy to not do it..let me ask you this,,do you inspect you reeds when pulling the carbs? if not you must like doing things twice, thats all im saying...
not true about putting grease on thou,,i always do,,a real thin coat,,then wipe it off with a clean rag to make sure theres no shit left on shaft.Actually some two stroke oil works too.
