You can change the weights without taking the clutch apart. Matt Entz has a video its pretty simple i found i had to grind down my wrench to fit in to get the on the locking nut. But mine is also a 2018 rmk 600. But its pretty easy and cool to watch. Just did the same on a friends artic cat. Love your videos. Going to order me some dupont hifax soon.
I too had to re clutch for sea level. My dealer did not do it for me. In fact they made me sign off on it saying I would do it before riding because “the motor can blow”. I put on the STP magnum force weights. Dalton makes adjustable weights too. Now with a quick spring change and removal of a few grams it can go to 8k feet.
Did you tell your viewers that those 6 bolts bolts on the primary require 100 inch Lbs and it is critical for balance and important to prolong the life of the clutch ?
Does your clutch vibrate a good amount at idle? I have a switch back that is buttery smooth at idle that’s an 800 but I have an 850 rmk and the clutch has quite a bit of vibration at idle but goes away the moment you give a little throttle
So...dumb question, but...there doesn't seem to be enough space to get a 3/8" wrench around the nut on the other side of the allen wrench. Any hints for me there?
I had to tow my axys the other day so took my belt off and the secondary made some weird noises while rolling. Is it because its a floating clutch or do i have a problem? Wasnt making any noises while riding but then my throttlecable snapped so :)
