Yeah, Both of them Sing and Scream though Jamie definitely has a more developed screaming technique. Jamie does do clean vocals too and his singing voice is great but for some reason he just doesn't do that many clean sections in their songs and Jake takes on pretty much 95% of the clean sections and choruses
Holy fuck since when did Jake do that "beg and plead" scream? Sounded so good. His live vocals in general have just gotten so damn good lately too I love it
Everytime I watch this, I play that part back 10 times. It just sounds so fucking sick. I'm blown away with how well they perform live. They bring so much energy, insane.
It really was. I knew it would be a good time, but I was blown away. Even with Polaris only playing 4 songs. Them + Parkway, fucking hell, cant go wrong.
I'm glad you got this video, I was walking in right in the middle of Lucid so I didn't catch the very beginning! Their entire set was amazing every song sounded so good, did you get Consume on video by chance?
Sorry mate, I didnt. I told myself I'd record one song, and then enjoy watching. Different experiences watching it, and recording it, you know? Bit damn I wish I did have a way to record the whole thing. The entire set was one of the most entertaining things I've ever seen.
Massivecarcrash you’d think that but his voice is only getting better, like from the start of the year it did seem like he was a being a bit careless with how hard he’d go but he’s clearly being doing a lot of work on his voice because this is the best he’s ever sounded
@@ByTheGrave It might be that he really isnt pushing it that hard and that he has a technique that makes it sounds like he's screaming at the top of his lungs all the time. I think it's still beyond what's sustainable in the long run, I've seen alot of these bands come and go over the last decade and a half and the vocal chords of the vocalist is usually the first thing that goes. It's rare that they find a technique that suits their voice as alot of them pushes way past their range due to personal preferences or genre restrictions. I am not bashing their abillity or music, but i've seen this happen way to many times with alot of promising bands and vocalists. They're young, hungry and want to impress untill the bassist headbangs so hard he knocks himself out on the floor and gets permanent braindamage.
Massivecarcrash oh yeah I know you’re not bashing them, like I get what you’re saying completely and the last thing anyone wants is for them to have their frontman with a fucked voice in the next few years. But he has had some criticism about this before and he’s doing everything he can to maintain his voice. Like he’s even had Winston talk to him about all of that sort of stuff since they toured Aus together before this US tour, so I’m sure he’ll manage to maintain what he’s doing for quite a while. Or at least I really hope so.
Brandon from Eyes Set to Kill had that happen to him. After 2 records, he left. For more than one reason but, his voice was fucked. That sucked, that guy had a great sound.
