What energy? Its really not that hard to stand still with your legs spread slightly apart. Watch Converge, The Armed, Dillinger or old Letlive if you want to see gpod energy.
@@douglasdiggins8296 you sir are salty. Polaris are an excellent band. Their guitar work is phenomenal flows through each element of each song. Drums fill each small gap and have a way of keeping the song in time yet adding a whole other level of depth. I have seen a few of the bands you have mentioned live... in person and on youtube, and i can say some are good some are only average. They do bring energy, but the energy that polaris bring when they play anything off The Mortal Coil is on a whole other plain.
I reckon he was kind of trying to boost up the bassist because he's normally way more in tune and he definitely stared way off key and I remember this way a big show for them
Before I saw Polaris, I thought they were a very "middle of the road" band. They weren't bad, but they weren't good either. After seeing them live, feeling their energy, I now understand the hype. Best live band in the scene. Hands down.
These guys are such a breath of fresh air in a genre filled with cookie cutter bands that rinse and repeat the same formula. They're such a humble group of guys and definitely deserve to make it to the heights of bands like In Hearts Wake, Northlane and Parkway Drive.
Douglas Diggins they may have the same formula, but musically they’re very different. They do a lot of things technically other bands in the genre don’t. Honestly the only band I could compare to them technicality wise would be Architects.
They’re a great band, doing the exact same as everyone in the metal core scene two up singers, singing and screaming with the standard song format. That’s it. Nothing revolutionary. Hardly fresh air.
How are they going to take the world by storm if you can barely tell the difference between them and 80% of the other core bands out there right now? Honestly curious.
@@douglasdiggins8296 nobody it's just usually people that are balding with battlejackets complain about core all sounding the same. If your really a fan of the core genres you know there are all lot of bands that sound completely different.
@@false8989 well you just stick with your unfounded assumptions. Yes there are core bands that sound different; I agree, I listen to core music. This band is not one of them.
Probably the best metal song of the last 5 years. Absolutely insane performance. Every single member of the band is enjoying the performance. That enthusiasm is contagious. Look at Dan at 0:34. Look at Ryan at 2:23. Look at Jamie at any part of the video. Hats off to Polaris. What a song.
so insane that they played unify last year while it was still light and this year they headlined and arguably had the best set of the whole festival ❤️
Because they were competing with Architects, Parkway Drive and Tonight Alive. I think if I remember correctly they were the 5th or 6th last band to play. They had a very good time slot considering it was their 2nd time there and they’re still blowing up.
i gotta give it to australia's metal fans. they learn every single word and scream that shit in every video i've seen. even for smaller bands like Alpha Wolf. so cool
Good fucking lord. I feel like these guys just came out of nowhere. Just kicked in the door like “what’s up fuckers, we’re here to do metalcore better than everyone else”
This band just seems like they are having SO much fun up on stage and performing. Some bands just seem Like they are phoning it in and just performing but not trying. This band. Kicks so much ass.
