I’m sorry that’s happened to you. But since the dealer seem to have changed the situation, I would return it to the dealer and have them sorted out. @@JosephHunstad Joe, that was the first time I’ve ever asked a question in comments and I thank you for responding! I did subscribe and like. It was over a year before I needed and realized I did not have 4WD because I rarely drive my Ranger since taking a new job. Sappington pro outdoor in Jackson, Missouri is my local dealer, but I will never take anything there again. They arrogantly took no blame for the problem, but would look at it for a service fee. Also, they charged me twice What their estimate was for putting the heater in. Meanwhile, I realized they put the switch in backwards so now I do have four wheel/one wheel/2 Wheel Dr. but the performance/standard/work button still does not work and was click in the correct way. I’ve checked every fuse and relay that I could find and finally gave up. Again, Thank You! Have a blessed day.

First of all, I have a video on connecting a light bar so you should look at that and that will help you with connecting a light and the proper electrical connections. The blue wire from the Pulse Bar must be connected to a switched electrical source. One that is on when the ignition is turned on, but then turns off when the ignition is turned off. Usually you can find that wire coming either from the ignition, but do not connect it to the battery or else. It will be on all the time. Consider subscribing. Thanks. Joe.

Hey there, thanks for your question. Yes, that makes sense because the blue wire is for the switched application not the full draw of the accessory like a light bar or a winch or things like that. Hey Ken, really great question. I’m gonna give you the wording. You can actually buy a new paw spa fairly inexpensively from Amazon and I’m sure other sites. Very good question. There are three wires that come out of the pulse bar the red positive which is on all the time, the black ground and the blue wire, which is ignition on only. When the ignition is on the blue wire is hot otherwise it is not. That’s what allows you to Have devices that when you turn off your vehicle, electricity stops. @@JosephHunstad so once the ignition wire on the pulse bar is on. Does it activate some sort of inner switch on the pulse bar as to then allow the middle harness wire to draw power from the always on battery battery wire that’s connected to the pulse bar? This essentially allows for a small gauge ignition wire to connect to the bar.

There is no inner switch on the pulse bar the blue wire on the pulse bar simply gets activated when the ignition is turned on. Otherwise it's off.@@TheSRMproject

@@JosephHunstad does the ignition wire connected to the bar have to be as large as the battery +?

The wire going to the pulse bar for the switched connectors is not the same diameter as the large battery cables@@TheSRMproject

I’m not sure I understand your question. Heathe is always draw a large amount of current and I would probably recommend an in-line fuse with each of those devices but yes, you can use those and probably just plug those into your 12 volt cigarette lighter socket.

OK I know the answer to your question. That is the power that goes to the pulse bar when the ignition is turned on. It powers basically the blue wire and each of the connections. No power goes to it when the ignition is off power goes to it when the ignition is on. Consider subscribing. Thanks Joe.

@@JosephHunstad- the dealer installed my pulse bar when it showed up from the factory (22 ranger 1000xp). I've been troubleshooting my drain battery, and have figured out the 2nd pin "Key On" is always HOT. it turn the test light on even when the keys are off and out of the ranger. the 3rd pin is also always HOT, but the is standard. any suggestions on where to go? I think the accessory (orange wire) is a factory wire, that should run to the fuse box. Thanks in advance.

@@shawnnichoalds6012 because the dealer installed it I would take it back to the dealer. One wire should be hot always but the other one should be switched only. The dealer should fix it.
