Not only did I find out what my problem was, and how to correct it, I now know why the problem existed, know more about how my brakes work, and did not have one wasted moment in the process. Very thorough. Thanks guys.
Legends... I've been chasing this noise for months. Mine wasn't wheel at speed, it was just a loud rattle like a clamp about to fall off. I've done the mod and it's quiet as. Mike from Australia
Thanks guys….my 2024 Ranger 570 has been making the popping/clacking sound ever since I had it. I just did the 25 hour service and was getting ready to take to my stealership to see what they had to say. You saved me a trip, not to mention they may well have screwed up something else anyway 😂
Great video, y'all! As it turns out, Polaris finally owned up to the issue with the Kinetic. The Kinetic is so quiet that the pad rattle is really irritating. So they came up with an OEM spring that fits all of the Ranger series. I ordered them for my 2022 1000 EPS and they fit perfectly and eliminated the rattle. The one irritating part of the installation is that, although the specs call for 28 ftlbs of torque on the caliper, the rear brakes will not allow a Torque wrench to fit for torqueing. The manual requires that you run the Allen screw in until the fixed pad contacts the disc and then back it off one half turn.
Everytime I need to look up something u are the first person I come to watch, your videos are very helpful, but I was wondering is there a possible way u could do a video on how to rebuild the top end on a honda 300
They make springs specifically for this. They were used in the EV models as the brake noise was much more noticeable. Polaris part 7043649. #12 in the parts diagram for the EV model.
