I'm giving you a run-down on my ATV today as I talk about my Polaris Sportsman Long Term Review and I get underway doing a rear gearcase fluid change as well. With this machine working on a variety of jobs from hauling logs to towing trailers, I'd say this thing is a good machine to have around any rural property or farm. Although I may not be the one who takes my ATV through neck-deep mud, I certainly don't baby the thing and with that, I've learned a thing or two about while owning it. With a general overview of my ATV, you'll get the sense that I'm not washing this thing too often (if ever). Besides the long term review, today I'm also chipping away the frozen mud and doing some long overdue maintenance on my machine. The rear gearcase is next in line for a fluid change and that's exactly what I'm doing. With the winter weather quickly making my hands turn into icicles, I'm not wasting anytime underneath this machine draining and refilling it with drive angle fluid. Only issue I'm having is that at 14 dollars Canadian a bottle, this Polaris oil sure is hurting the ole wallet. Ah well, could be worse I guess. Glad you're all here and here we go!
