Polaroid photography | Vintage Retro 1970s Camera | SX-70 Pronto! 1500 Review 

Old Tech to capture Photography on Film is so fascinating to me and to see something from the 70s still work so well is a testament to how products used to be manufactured to last and not perish instantly. 😀 I'm into Camcorders from around the late 80s and early 90s, it started with me wanting to digitalize Hi8 Analogue Tapes with footage of me and my family from my childhood and it's a deep rabbithole I fell into. But even those brand name Home-Video Cameras from 1990 by Sony or Canon suffer from capacitors leaking and rotting away therefore making it hard to preserve that era of Video capturing. *sigh* Loved the video. 💓

I wish I kept all my polaroids from my fashion magazine days. They were an essential tool in the pre-digital era if you were working in that industry. You would use them to test how things looked before a shoot, to photograph clothes and accessories together when you were planning those shoots, and when you went to showrooms to review a designer's collection. I used to have so many files filled with them! Wonder where they all went.

I had one of these cameras as a kid they were awesome 👌. You were lucky to find one of these. I nearly brought one in 2019, but they were so expensive. I know they have kids Barbie ones now online but can't beat a classic

The camera was designed to take SX-70 film. The original was about 100 ISO. The new SX-70 is 160 ISO. The 600 film is 640 ISO and more sensitive. The camera meters the light for 100 ISO that is why 600 film is over exposed. The Single ND filter allows the 600 film to be used in an SX-70 camera. However the camera thinks it’s ISO 100 so it would have longer shutter time as compared to a 600 Camera. Most SX-70 cameras (with sx70 film) require a 1/3 darker compensation to adjust for the 100 To 160 ISO difference between old and new film. Clear as mud? Keep on shooting!

That weird long film cartridge you showed before you paused your video is 110 film for a Kodak instamatic camera. These were very popular in the early 1970s.

the instant camera guy in melbourne can convert to 600 film or even to I TYPE film and is quite affordable

Honestly I am a doll person but I must confess Polaroid cameras are so cool the only thing is the film is expensive

Yep analog photography is not vegan, but honestly all the supplies are vintage and actually consuming them prevents them from becoming landfill and most of those that you used are even older than you are, so they shouldn't give you a moral dilemma if you are in it for ethical reasons... You can't possibly control or influence with your actions something that had already happened before you were even born. Have fun with your camera and try not to overspend... :)

Its not an SX70, you might want to change the title
