I still have two Rods that are over 20 years old that have sidewinders on them. I haven't used them since I started fishing commercials. They were designed to detect shy bites for Silvers and Bream. I used them a lot in Ireland, Bream fishing. Brilliant in windy conditions. It meant you could put your Rod tip underwater, and still have sensitive bite indication because the tip was less than 3 feet from your face, unnafected by wind. 1/2 ounce quivertips with sidewinders were popular then.
In Eastern europe it called kivok. Was taken from Icefishing to pole and Bolo to fish from the bank or with boots in reeds or open water. Also Michael schlager from MS uses a close model like this for feederfishing. You made a nice idea there also.....sensitive indication👍🎣
Unfortunately, the nearest place with Roach is hundreds of Kilimetres from me Elo. There are also no Bream like those in Europe, the only Bream over here are sea fish. It's the same with Perch, the nearest place is approximately 4 hours drive away.
As I said in the video, this method is probably better suited to shy biting fish like roach or bream. Of course, they can be caught on a Method Feeder, but when using a cage feeder, this would provide more sensitivity to allow you to hit tentative bites that aren't 'pull rounds.'
den I want to suggest you something. you should change all of your Thumbnails to organic thumbnails. I subscribed you 8months ago, after watching a video of you sharing how to make and mix your own groundbait. since then I have watched almost all of your videos except pole fishing videos, but your channel have not grown since then. you are making quality contents but you are not getting enough views and subscribers it's only because of your thumbnail. so I hope you change your thumbnails. Take care. Can you make a video on how to make homemade method feeders.
Good Point Tahwid. I was thinking the same thing myself. I thought I would keep the Blue Background but remove the picture of myself. I would then replace that with a picture of something in the video. That means there would be a different image which was relevant to the video each time. What do you think? Your comments would be appreciated.
@@FishingwithDen it would work fine. but if you could completely change the blue theme and make your thumbnails more relatable to your videos by simply taking picture of the thing that you want to make your video on and use text on the picture to attract more people . I think it would be a better option but everything is up to you and another thing, make a logo for your channel that you can add to your thumbnails so that it is easier for your audience to recognize your videos.
