For me I've watched all 13 episodes of this show. And while it's not exactly like the Namco arcade game itself since it's loosely based off of the arcade games, the plot and story line of this cartoon made me interested all the way up to the final episode of this show. It's quite sad they weren't able to continue it for another season or so, considering I loved every bit of it. But yes, the theme song is on fire and love it just as much as many other 1980s cartoon theme songs (except TMNT, that one I know many like, but it's okay in my books and only listen to it once or twice every few decades or such).
Y'know, we joke about the 1980s and 1990s being more hard-core than now, but it's hard to imagine any modern children's programming's writers room going out of their way to endanger the cast's resident toddler quite that often. Writer Chad: Bro, you know, we could have one of the drivers getting run down by a helicopter, but I'm thinking, we've got this adorable kid just, like, here in the cast, man. Writer Brad: Bro. You're a genius. The animators are gonna be all over this. Storyboarder Brett: What is wrong with you two?! I told you not to plan this sort of stuff without me. Let's make sure we've got the blocking on the kid just right. Brad, pass the velveeta salsa.
