Thanks Dale. Following you video I was easily able to unpop the covers. Put the new covers on and immediately removed them. I have decided I prefer the matt finish.
Thanks for the video. I was pulling on the wrong side of the key fob with the second clip, and was in doubt wether or not I would break it. Your video is quite clear on which side to pull! I bought a hefty leather and black steel Volvo key fob cover (but without the Volvo insignia) to replace the plastic Polestar one. The plastic one just didn’t do it for me.
thanks just got my new key fob cover from amazon with Polestar logo on both sides and it looks so much better than the original one. the original one was really too cheap. The plastic material was super scratchy. I took the brushed aluminium and it gives definitely a better aspect and touch feel.
I wonder if the Volvo leather front and back will work? We also have an xc60 they come with a nice leather faced and backed fob, also look identical. Edit yes they do and are listed in the link you supplied 👍
I'd be a bit disappointed to not have the polestar logo, so would stick with standard key. Keep us updated if you manage to laser cut a logo onto the new key cover.
not sure 2 years ago but nowadays you can find plenty of covers with the polestar Logo. I'll buy one as well as the plastic quality is really cheap. after 1 week of usage the plastic is full of scratches.
