There are far too many tourists crowding the troopers and their horses. No wonder these gorgeous horses get fed up with it every day. Tourists need to show the troopers and horses more respect.

What a scramble of people!! I know the horses are trained but I wouldnt blame them for biting. All those hands and different smells must drive the horses nuts. If I can smell a whiff of perfume imagine the poor horses senses. What a wonderful video John. Thank you.

Each time I watch this I become agitated watching the foolish tourists! I enjoy the narrator while he films the poor horse getting mauled. The wonderful Kingsman on the beautiful animal is usually very calm. Thank you for allowing me to watch from Texas. Yes, it does look like a petting zoo.

Hi John!! My what a busy morning the crowd's and the noise its like a mad house. All the horse's are Marvellous but i thought Tipper was Sublime so gentle and fluffy really loved him. Curious, playful Tipper and calm, gentle Indiana were wonderful. It's good to watch the children enjoy the horses without cringing. I feel for the horses being crowded and mauled but it's good to see some who actually rather enjoy it, like Tipper, and those who are not bothered, like Indiana. So sorry for the gent who was pickpocketed.

Well, sir, he's a guard, just in case you'd forgotten, and guards have a job to do, which is to protect the thing or person they're there to protect; in this case, namely, the King of England. Therefore, what is 'wrong' with him is that he's simply trying to do his job. I understand how much revenue tourists bring in to the country, but it stuns me at their behaviour around our guardsmen of the King's Horseguards! Would they be allowed to get so close to guards in their home countries? I don't think so! So why do they feel it's acceptable to get so close to ours?

Horse on the right is a lovely soul. He seems to be partial to small children. Very sweet.

I meant to mention the silly man who left his rucksack unattended and out of his sight he was very lucky it was still there particularly with pickpockets around , then he handed his phone to complete strangers to have his photo with the gatesman ! Some people don't live in the real world , particularly in a place so packed ! It's sad the world is like this but you have to be alert at all times !

So many tourists think the guards are actors not real soldiers wish they would do some research before visiting they should learn to read warning signs as well

As far as i can see the Gatesman yelling at the idiot tourists. He is only doing his job! It hit me this time, the guards on the horses might have done it to help clear the crowd back and cause a little excitement. Good on them to be honest! I wonder why the tourists don’t think, “ I’ll just take a look and a few quick pics of the lovely horses. I can take 200 posed pics of myself, at home or somewhere where I’ll bother nobody”. Also, “ I really must touch a horse” is a very strange compulsion to have, as is, “ My baby/ toddler must be offered up to the horse’s choppers”.

Those parents have no idea what could happen to their child letting them get so close to the horses. I still cannot understand why this craziness is allowed to happen to the soldiers and the horses. How can they be guarding anything with this mess going on - hands all over the horses and some people have the audacity to actually touch the guards.

Hi john thank you for sharing another great video why do the tourists have to get so close to the horses and also putting their kids in danger they would moan if they get bitten you can tell it's half term with all those kids about there should be a police officer at the front when it's this busy and keeping the tourists back from getting in the troopers and horses space

Oh god 😱 Tourons some of them act as if " petting," the horse is an tourist given right, cos their tourists its part of their right as a tourist to do so. They paid for this holiday. Plus in my experience I've found two things if you don't pay for something:- 1) you dont respect the privilege of coming to Horse Guards. 2) Tourons not all of them, to me don't care if they push others out of the way to get their pictures amd pet the horse. Then they rush away to the mexyt tourist spot. So they can ✅ that site pff their list. Ok Rant over. Sorry everybody.

I can’t get over people just standing in front of others while they are trying to take pictures. How rude, they need to stop people from touching the horses. It’s not even healthy for them. People seem to think they are experts on touching and scratching the poor horses head. It’s obvious this is their first time being in front of a horse.

I wonder if some tourists believe the horse is a kind of touchstone and will help them win the lottery.😜

I would take Indiana home, too, if it were possible😍😍😍. She's my favorite horse from the Blues&Royals (she and Kingston, who looks exactly the same as her, only he has 2 white socks, instead of 4, like her). She is definitely a cross with Shire, the Shire characteristics are very prominent (the thick neck, the thick mane although it's cut short, the constitution, "the feathers" are missing from her feet, but they've either been trimmed or they don't exist, as she is a cross, etc). I would take her, and Radford from the Lifeguards, home🥰🥰🥰🥰 I absolutely love draught horses. The trooper who was the gateman in this video, i've seen him many times before, but only as a gateman (maybe he's been a boxman but i've never personally seen him as such). He gave me the chuckles🤣🤣🤣, he always does, when he shouts at tourists. He never misses an opportunity to do so. He's probably my favorite trooper from the Blues&Royals. He's the no-nonsense "shouting chief" en titre.🤣🤣🤣I've seen him definitely utter something under his breath after the turned but i couldn't understand what he said. Maybe something along the lines of" Good, you're all out of my way"🤣🤣

When everyone walks round with an idiot proof, point it and press it camera in their hands how come some tourists have stand by the horse long enough to have their portrait painted.

History draws tourists, I believe. Soon I'll be moving to an area of the US which has loads of history. While I have lived in cities with small areas left alone, most history is lost beyond just a few decades. Of course, CA hasn't been around as a state for as long as where I'm about to move. I was very excited to visit Scotland and England and marvelled at the awesome structures that dated back hundreds of years; structures created by man's hand alone, not machines. I didn't know about horse guards even though I was very close when we were doing a bit of sightseeing. Because we were a choir, we were allowed behind the scenes, so to speak, at Canterbury Cathedral! I sat in the seat which was used by dignitaries throughout the centuries!

One would THINK that if you knew you were going to London and planned to see the Guards and the Palace, one would watch some dang videos and see what to do and what not to do! I remember travelling BEFORE the internet and Google (Yes, we navigated with paper maps), today there is NO EXCUSE for the ignorance of some people, and teenagers should be taught how to act in PUBLIC!

Half term chaos. Wonder if H Cav have ever considered making the box horses off limits to the tourists but setting up photo opportunity with more people tolerant horses on the parade ground where there is more space and they could control the flow of tourists. Would make it easy to charge for a photo too. £1 a time, £5 the trooper will smile, £10 tourist can hold up two fingers ✌🏻 😂😂😂.

I find myself yelling at my tablet for the horses to bite the woman who put her fingers in the horses nose. That and "your a bunch of ignorant asses! Way to many people. I don't know how the horses or the guards put up with all the real these people do and say. There a lot of people to have to watch and protect your horse and self from! Their loud to.

Ignorance is dangerous and changes must be made!! These horse guards have a serious job to do and the general populace must be confronted and taught how to conduct themselves with humility. The people are treating the Horse Guards as if they are at some kind of Disney Land for entertainment.

It must be so much nicer for the guards when they are mounted on a placid horse like Indiana or Tipper rather than one that is constantly fidgeting and bouncing their rider around like some of the horses do. Oh yes and the Blues and Royals are my favourites as well. That said the Life Guards’ horses have some real characters
