you're acting like killing someone is the minimum. wtf are they going to do not arrest someone whose killed someone as a precaution? its a murder case no one knows whats gone on but the man whose killed someone. This isn't the US where they let people walk off without so much as paperwork. They thought someone was stealing so they ran after him and killed him. They're in prison were they belong because they took the law into heir own hands and did capital punishment, that wild wild west behaviour, if you want to civilisation you have to behave like it and not kill people lol.

There seems to be a lot of backstory you don't get from this video. 1) These guys by the sounds of it had been victims of burlgary/theft before and had been talking about violence against them repeatedly. They left the house armed with serious weapons made for combat. Apparently the son had a previous conviction for waving a machete at an ex. It sounds like these guys were not nice people, possibly psychos and this is a case of bad people meeting bad people. 2) The guy they killed was a disgusting POS with 66 previous convinctions in this case terrorising a neighbourhood trying to steal their hard earned things. And remember, they're only the ones he was caught AND convicted for - so he's tried this hundreds if not thousands of times. 3) This guy and his son were sentenced to life in prison. My conclusion is that the law is an absolute joke. Once again here is another POS career criminal which the justice system keeps letting back out to victimise more and more people. When someone finally stops him they get jailed for life? Why don't YOU do something permanent then? Why didn't YOU sentence him to 30 years for his 66th crime??? They expect citizens to just suffer endlessly while they do absolutely nothing to stop the criminals from victimising people over and over again. Yes in this incident it sounds like these guys simply murdered an unarmed man for a theft attempt. But the bigger picture is the system has resulted in one man dead and two men losing their freedom for a long time. We need a new system which criminals get a combo bonus sentence each time they commit particular crimes as adults so they end up with a choice of stopping or going to jail for decades.

He got battered half to death and got dumped over the fence to the railway lines in some bushes. The police weren't called and someone looked the next day and unfortunately he'd gone. Actually, when you read up on the case (I'll post the link), the father and son had been obsessed with weapons for years and were dying to use them any chance they got. Their car got its wheels stolen and according to evidence they said they couldn't wait to stab and kill the guy who did it. Further, it turns out that they actually hunted the robber that they killed down, pursuing him well after he was any kind of threat to themselves of their property. In this instance, if you're two people hunting one other person down with a knife, far away enough that they are a threat to no one, they are the victim, not you. If someone broke into my house and I stabbed them, I would be right. But if someone tried to get into my car, and I chased them down the street into an alleyway with a samurai sword in order to stab them to death, that's excessive force. Perfectly reasonable to find the two men guilty of murder, but maybe a life sentence, to be honest, was too tough on them. Although the prosecution did point out that they were clearly itching to get an opportunity to kill someone, they may not have wanted to in the spur of the moment. However, neither the son or the dad felt any kind of remorse throughout the trial, maintaining that chasing down a thief throughout a neighbourhood only to kill them by stabbing was not an excessive use of force, which it was. Anyway, here is the link to the article by Suffolk Police: www.suffolk.police.uk/news/latest-news/bury-st-edmunds-two-men-sentenced-life-imprisonment-murdering-neil-charles

It's rather sad that when people kill someone in the act of self defence it seems to me that they get treated worse than the perpetrator of the incident. It won't be murder I think but manslaughter the big mistake the person made was taking a kitchen knife outside. I also feel that if the incident was indoors a better justification for defending yourself with a knife will be heard in a more lenient way by the court

Update: Both Father & Son were found guilty of murder, the Father was sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison. You are right about arming yourself with a knife, you can't arm yourself and then go from a place of safety to confront a man and then claim self defense. Taking the knife is premeditation to a violent act either gbh or murder.

he should have taken his smart phone out and filmed him and then returned home and called the police but in the spur of the moment you don't know if the thieves are armed with deadly weapons etc hence why he probably went out and his son did also armed themselves. It's a mess.

@@davedogge2280 They probably did but their lawyers said "Don't show that video as it would clearly incriminate you and your son as murderers". As they chased down an innocent person and stabbed them to death, nothing else occurred.

Protecting you and yours is now a 'serious offense'? Fvcking ridiculous. Defund the police.

Mistake 1 - went out with a knife. The simple rule these days is stay indoors and don't get involved. If they break in to your home you have some better legal rights to protect yourself.

So a man comes at you with a bike then it’s okay to stab him and kill him? Fix up dude what next someone parks on double yellow lines it’s fair game to shoot him? Restrain him if you can, if not leave it to the law.

He was trying car door handles and they chased him down and stabbed him to death. At what point in that is it really self defence?
@lewisgriffiths6484
@lewisgriffiths6484 Год назад
@@negima1276 If that's true then its murder and off to jail, however none of that is present here and does not change my view of the situation as presented. Middle of the night damn straight I'd take a knife and if attacked then for sure I'd use it.

You reap what you sow unfortunately in the UK we are wet behind the ears and have to allow people to do what they want even if under threat, I had an intruder in my home who pushed my son over to get in the house I beat him and there was quite alot of blood at the scene he left, my partner took the children away from the situation when I went to leave police were there detained me and if the bloke had of wanted to press charges then I would have been arrested, there is no justice in the UK.

Look how zealous these pommy cops are when arresting one of their own defending themselves, but watch them shrivel up when dealing with immigrants.
