Solving a real crime involves far too much time, effort, resources and actual "policing". These types of ridiculous cases are easy "wins" for the police or so they think because they involve minimum effort and they're seen to be doing something and protecting the public from harmful social media posts or re-tweets. A person makes social media post which is linked to email, account profile and IP address etc. and can't be contested at all. Another person says they are hurt by that post or even worse, they are concerned that someone else may be hurt or offended. Boom, case solved 👌, police: "Aren't we doing a good job?!? And look, we're being very proactive!"

don't worry, that will be a recent law that's gone through the process of going through parliament....so the police will be 'legal' enforcing it. But personally I think they should do police work involving actual danger/harm or loss, than being the 'hurt feelings' police. a police officer's job is not to 'make a criminal's life h3ll', but to assume innocence while STILL detaining and arresting them to be held accountable. When found guilty, they should be punished accordingly. Sadly, the police have become Gestapo (depending on the skin color of the 'criminal') and the courts are all populated with kangaroos. The actions of the police are understandable, although extremely wrong, because their "leadership" has caved in to culture's 'victimhood'.

free speech is a limit right, there are limits to it, for instance you can't shout "fire" in a crowed cinema, as that would cause panic, alarm, and distress.

Point is it's a choice the Queen would not want anybody arrested she would go shopping in Windsor and most locals would leave them and allow them to do their shopping one day a tourist was in the shop and didn't do this the Queen was not offended by it as she knew it was a tourist the tourist didn't realise she was speaking to the Queen and asked her if she seen the Queen the Queen took has a sense of humour took it with a pinch of salt and pointed at the driver and said no but he has.
