I was there ! singing along with Sting. “Sending out an SOS , Sending out an SOS , Sending out an SOS !” 40 years later , I’m still singing that song enthusiastically. Singing “ message in a bottle “ at least 5 times a day for 40 years. The police is my life.
I hear you and good on you. I'm from Melbourne and saw them in 81 Festival Hall, 84 Synchronicity tour, last concert Melbourne Show grounds and finally 2008 MCG. And like you, I'm still singing eow yo yo or sending out, another hour of daylight every day and don't see myself ever stopping. We were very lucky. 👍

The audio only bootleg I have has about 7 more songs from this show. The Bed's Too Big Without You was absolutely amazing... Shame they left it off of this.
technical problem at the start of Bring On The Night. I thought Japan would never have that LOL. But it's great how the 3 professional experienced great musicians keep along with that calmly
I still have a bootleg CD of this concert that I used to listen to over and over in the early 2000s. Great to finally see the concert footage, thank you!
@@faustopaganini6627 11:45 is just a masterclass in perfection! They were incredibly tight here. ….Way more so than during the reunion tour where Andy’s guitar work didn’t seem to be in synch as it use to be in the 80s
There's someone who may write what is sayng Sting at 26:37 after "I wish someone will close the door at the back of the stage" ... and what Stewart answers? I'm Italian and I can't understand
"...it's giving me pneumonia, it's giving me pneumonia, I wish someone would close the door at the back of the stage for the sake of the New Zealand promoter..."
Great. Andy was in his deep cocaine ear here. We can see his eyes, the mixture of cocaine, tiredness of working and maybe sleepless nights because of that two causes. It's a grateful that it never took him to the permanent loss
