My favorite thing about police officers is the way they and their families think they're everybody elses daddy, mommy and big siblings.

This has actually been great for one of my businesses. I can negotiate up to $2MM cash bonus payments for experienced police officers from major cities to retire and go private and work directly for very wealthy families. I get 10%. The officers get the $1- 1.5MM net, or more, they get a guaranteed salary of $500K per year plus housing, board, transportation, and all travel expenses, world-wide on at least a five-year contract with a CPI escalation clause. I've got some guys now making almost a million a year, between their department pensions and the private payroll, on top of whatever cash signing bonus they received. These ultra-wealthy people value their private police forces almost as much as the athletes on the pro teams they own. There is no way municipalities can compete with that to hire any decent law enforcement professionals, which is why the departments are gutted and any new hires are mostly scum of the earth fatties who are going to end up bankrupting their cities when they screw up every arrest and/or encounter with the public.
