If this is how justice is served in this country then all Ghanaians are in danger. A statement the accused didn't write but it was read on behalf of him as a statement he had written. Everyone has a right to a fair trial and that should include the right to legal representation at the court. If this man had a lawyer representing him in court, I don't think he'd have been in this situation - pleading guilty when he didn't fully understand what he was charged with. There should be good education on the justice system given to all Ghanaians. At least with that, people will know where to get help for a legal representation even if they don't have the money to afford a lawyer. This is a really sad story.

You were not jailed because of the crime, rather your incompetence and unprofessional conduct. How and why do you plead guilty Even if you collected the money with a false pretenses , you already made two installments and it’s civil now. I swear your station officer has blackmailed you to District, Divisional, Regional as well as INGPOL. Yes the Detective was right, after your imprisonment the complainant can claim the money by civil suet I know you will win this case when appealed. Next time you learn the police work well.
