I feel like people don't realize that throughout all the seasons, especially this season that Colin is always the one boosting Pen's confidence. He doesn't see her as undesirable, he's always loved her intelligence, her wit and her sweetness...I just think growing up with her as children and then the fact that she was his sister's best friend made it hard for him to see her differently...but now that Eloise isn't around Pen, Colin gets to spend time with just her which is allowing him to see her as a woman and not just as a friend. Plus that kiss...while it came during Pen's most vulnerable time, it awoke something in Colin. Plus the amount of trust he must have in her to know that she wouldn't use that kiss against him is really special. Remember...S1 Daphne and Simon had to get married because of 1 kiss...so for Colin to voluntarily kiss Pen shows that he respects her but also trusts her so much! I think the kiss for Pen was closure to the idea of love, especially love with Colin....but for Colin it was just the start of that emotional connection he's been craving. I love this season so much! Love Pen and Colin. Ep 3 and 4 are my fav. But the fact I can re watch this season over and over again. Its that good! They can show emotions on their face so well. I think they are awesome because both of them have been the musicals and TV shows where they had to be very animated. Also when he was trying to be a rake in the beginning. With him all winking and stuff and all the other stuff he did hes a total fake. It's like when he was trying to say he was a grown up and he should get married to Marina dude you weren't ready to get married to anyone at that time you were a boy. He isnt going to find out about lw til ep 6 or 7. Crazy. Pens mom and sisters suck! Very cruel to her. ( I feel like when she's begging him to kiss her I think at that point she's just done she knows she's not going to find anyone she doesn't think she's ever going to be in love or get married so I feel like she's so broken she just cant help but ask)
(I’m the person in the video ) Yesss agree agree!!! The whole first 2 episodes I just felt bad for pen, actually the first 2 seasons as well. Like the last scene between her and Colin really showed how much she gave up especially after the conversation between her and her mother. So I’m not surprised that she kissed him I just know, after this she’s either not going to look at the kiss as something more but I think he is.
