Sadly, Vincent, it's not just children who don't have good handwashing hygiene. As a woman, I can't tell you how many times I've been in public bathrooms and witnessed grown women come out of a stall, walk right past the sinks and out the door. I've seen it in restaurants, as well as students, some nursing students, at a college campus when I was in school. So gross!

@Dream Weaver EXACTLY, I hear you. 👊👊Some women are sooo NASTY 🤢. In public restrooms some women DON'T EVEN WASH THEIR HANDS. Sooo disgusting. 😖 I've have a thing or question I usually ask people. ((( Here it is ))) -- I ask a person: About how many times a day do you usually wash your hands❓❓❓ I've checked myself on that one time & it was 12x's that I washed my hands that day. Man, hygiene is sooo critical & as MUST to do in society. Sorry, not too many people know that or do it.

Or the hand washing is just a ritual gesture, lightly touching the water and then shaking the hands. And some men joke about the very idea of washing their hands if they have only urinated.

My dad joined the army in 1959. They gave him the polio vaccine. He became paralyzed from the neck down. He spent an entire year in a va hospital where his paralysis had gone away except for his hips. His hips remained paralyzed the rest of his life. Since my dad was 17 yrs old he could never stand up or walk ever again on his own. He walked on crutches until his rotor cups were shot so he then was confined to a wheel chair. They say what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger, they are right. RIP Papa Joe

I had Polio in 1950 It was found in my spinal fluid. For some unknown reason my body immune system eliminated the polio virus and I became completely free of the virus. However, it did take years for me to recover from the side effects incurred from the Polio virus. I also received the IPV shot and the sugar cube. I am now 77 years old and have only had some problems with my right leg from the original Polio infection.

My parents married Dec 7 1941 , on one of there trips to portland Oregon from Astoria Oregon they stopped at there favorite roadside cafe for soup My father saw a dragon fly in the restaurant his intuition kept telling him that dragonfly is dangerous. Soup came dad took his spoon to his mouth to take his first taste of the soup , the dragonfly flew between his mouth and the spoon , dad said sbout 15 min later he didn’t feel well he told my mother to get him to portland for a dr to check him out. Hospital admitted him he had contacted polio the drs all were very busy trying all different treatments noting was working. My father was perilized the whole left side of his body . One Dr came in and said he was treating his son a different way and was seeing much progress , and asked my father if he wanted to try that treatment Dad said Yes I can not do noting being perilized on half of my body. Soon they wheeled in on a cart a large stainless steel pot of boiling water with white towels in there and a big broom handle stick ? ? They took stick pulled out a hot hot towel and layed it on His left perilized side of his body they kept changing out towels as they got cooler to put hotter ones on him . This continued for ? Dad said the dr said we’re going to release you know this is the best we can do , my father thanked the doctor very much he got his whole left side back to normal on his body everything worked fine no peralisis except his face had left side droop of eye and mouth so dad went home and didn’t give up !! He put hot hot water in a rubber water bottle and put it on his left side face sat in a chair with head titled back and rocked his head forward and back all day and changing out the water to keep it hot . This WORKED ! Full recovery dad worked till he was 84 then passed of heart problem. As a child growing up I always wanted to watch dad sneeze because of polio his only effect he had left was his left eye stayed open when he sneezed. I loved my daddy he was my hero I always gave praise to that portland doctor who cured my father of polio paralysis growing up I saw several people with left arms being perilized from polio I always wished they would of met that hero of a dr years ago. Please everyone remember this 💜pass it on make a difference 💜

That’s the Sister Kenny method of treatment. She was an Australian nurse who innovated her own method and was ridiculed for it.
@karenzupanic718
@karenzupanic718 Год назад
That is Sister Kenny's treatment, an Australian nurse. Neither Salk or Sabin (racing to be the famous vax inventor) took her work seriously, they actually dismissed her practical and effective treatment. They, instead, continued to focus on a vax..which gave many people polio. A bad batch of vax from the Cutter Laboratories.paralyzed some 200,000 kids. About 200 died as well. All 8 major vaccines were introduced after the peak of disease had already passed, yet got the credit for 'fixing' the outbreaks which is not true. Just brilliant marketing to set people up to accept vaxxs of all sorts.... including covid and ones they have planned for us in the future. (Please explain why the US govt currently has enough smallpox vaccine for every US citizen, when it was supposedly eradicated? How can a polio vax (with such tiny base changes, that a virus appears to be able to change as 'evidenced' by poo samples) protect you from Covid, a completely DIFFERENT VIRUS. Just use common sense. Despite the covid virus never having been isolated, they have sequenced it??? How??? Yet the POLIO vaccine (is that old Salk/Sabin technology being used or new technology?) which works on a completely different molecule, works on covid? Come on, people. Use your noodles. You are a willing pincushion for whatever they want to shove into you. God help humanity. Many people in Aust got polio from the triple polio vax, but what did they say to the parents and kids? Instead of saying the vax caused it, they said it would have been worse without the vax. Pure rubbish and self justification by doctors to explain away the harm done by the so-called 'cure'. Very sad to see people wanting to jab themselves with this rubbish.

She thinks I had both Salk and Sabin. With one of those, I got very ill with encephalitis. I’ve been left with lifelong weakness on my right side, but thank god no paralysis. Sv 40 that’s the monkey virus that some experts warned could be passed on via the polio vaccines which can lead to cancer years later,mainly brain tumours,the doctor/ expert that warned about it back then was ridiculed and smeared but years later was proven correct,NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED REALLY,TODAY THOSE WARNING ABOUT THE COVID VACCINES MAINLY THE MRNA ONES ARE ALSO SMEARED BUT AS TIME GOES ON THEIR STATEMENTS ARE BEEN PROVEN CORRECT AND THE EXPERTS ON MSM AND THAT GOVERNMENTS PROMOTE ARE BEEN PROVEN WRONG. I HAVE ZERO FAITH IN OUR MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT NOW. THERE IS NO MONEY IN CURE AND BOY OH BOY HAVE BIG PHARMA GOTTEN SUPER RICH OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS. zero liability,endless booster and then the vaccine injured having to take big pharma medicine for whatever remains of their vaccine I hired lives,TALK ABOUT A WIN WIN THIRD LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH WAS DOCTOR STUFF UPS FIRST WAS HEART AND SECOND WAS CANCER AND BOTH OF THOSE THINGS ARE REALLY INCREASING OVER THE LAST YEAR SINCE A CERTAIN THING WAS ROLLED OUT AT THE END OF 2020,insurance companies seeing an increase of up to 40% in death claims but not due to the virus and took off after the boosters were been pushed in 2021. Like I said huge win win for big pharma,no liability so can’t be sued( wonder would that make them more willing to put out good products or just shove out any fast tracked thing onto the market) never ending boosters cause the first two didn’t do it and then the vaxxed injured needed medical treatments and drugs for the rest of their lives( how ever long that might be) investing in big pharma back in 2020 could have been a huge money maker( if you are a soulless pos that is,lol) best not invest in insurance companies now,maybe morgues/ funeral homes seems they are doing a really good trade at the moment. THERE IS NO MONEY IN CURE. AND THATS HOW LITTLE I THINK OF OUR MEDICAL INDUSTRY NOW,FDA,CDC,WHO,BIG PHARMA . big pharma has the most lobbyists between big pharma ,fda,cdc etc it’s a revolving door for job opportunities. Fda approved OxyContin which lead to the mass opioid crisis Pfizer up until 2022 had the single largest fine in history,for fraud,seems nothing has changed. Baby powder contaminated with asbestos And on and on it goes. SO PLEASE DONT ASK ME TO TRUST INNTHE ROCKERFELLA MEDICAL INDUSTRY. OR MSM CNN BROUGHT TO YOU BY PFIZER.

Born in ‘54, I got all my polio shots. In the early 60s, when they went to the oral, my parents made me do that, too, so my younger siblings wouldn’t be afraid to take it. I remember thinking how unfair that was…just after I finished all the shots, I had to do this! My dad had polio in college, though he didn’t know it at the time - he was poor, and didn’t see a doctor. It was during his physical after he was drafted that the doctor asked him when he’d had polio. He had weak ankles that didn’t keep him out of the army, but kept him out of Korea. Late in life, he developed post polio syndrome, and could hardly stand or walk, and breathing was difficult as his diaphragm was also affected.

I was born in ‘53, had 3 Polio shots but got Polio anyway in August 1960. Had paralysis of my right hand with weakness of the arm and shoulder as well. Thank God, my legs were not affected. Even though it didn’t work for me, I really hope people keep up their children’s Polio vaccines and don’t become complacent. It could make a comeback.

As a 4 or 5 year old in the mid-1950's I distinctly remember the abject fear that my mother had about the possibility of getting poliomyelitis as well as the summertime restrictions (no swimming pool excursions) we endured at the time. I also remember her dragging me kicking and screaming to a vaccination center in a Seattle suburb to receive Salk's vaccine. The center had pre-drawn syringes and had placed them in either small brown or pink disposable drinking cups. When the health care provider asked me if I wanted "chocolate or strawberry", I stopped screaming, mostly out of curiosity I guess. The injection wasn't bad at all!

In an upcoming clinical update with Dr. Griffin, it may be helpful to review the polio vaccination schedule for adults which can prevent permanent paralysis. Additionally, it would be helpful if Dr Griffith could review post polio syndrome (paralysis that returns after decades of recovery from polio infection). According to the CDC Website: Adults Most adults do not need polio vaccine because they were already vaccinated as children. But three groups of adults are at higher risk and should consider polio vaccination in the following situations: You are traveling to a country where the risk of getting polio is greater. Ask your healthcare provider for specific information on whether you need to be vaccinated. You are working in a laboratory and handling specimens that might contain polioviruses. You are a healthcare worker treating patients who could have polio or have close contact with a person who could be infected with poliovirus. Adults in these three groups who have never been vaccinated against polio should get 3 doses of IPV: The first dose at any time, The second dose 1 to 2 months later, The third dose 6 to 12 months after the second. Adults in these three groups who have had 1 or 2 doses of polio vaccine in the past should get the remaining 1 or 2 doses. It doesn’t matter how long it has been since the earlier dose(s). I got a booster a few years ago because I travelled to Europe and was wondering about the influx of refugees who had never been immunized. My doctor agreed that it might be wise to be boostered.

I just moved out of state & to a very rural area & he's the only one w/o having to spend hours in the road. So far I've been impressed about his actual knowledge of anatomy, test result explanations, you know, the doctor part, lol. It sucks he needs a law degree to keep up with what medication he can prescribe depending upon which of the states in his area, the Tri-State, his patient lives in. When I heard Rockland County, I immediately guessed that the patient was in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community there, which is a center of anti-vaccination activism. They regularly travel abroad, to Poland, Eastern Europe and Israel, visit similarly unvaccinated communities there, and bring diseases back to New York. As the NEJM, MMWR, Science and the New York Times have reported, these communities in Rockland County and Brooklyn have been responsible for large outbreaks of mumps, measles, and COVID-19, and have been particularly resistant to vaccination and public health laws. Of course, this is a great frustration to health workers and others in the larger Jewish community. One of the two things I most vividly recall from my case of paralytic polio at age four was the lumbar puncture. As you point out, the vast majority of infected individuals do not develop paralytic polio but almost all of them will shed virus in the feces.

In one case the father wasn't able to take the vaccination and was infected and hospitalised - UK I think but might have been another European country - and I have seen reports of parents/babysitters catching the virus from a child. I’m now 71 years old. My mother was born in 1924 and while in elementary school there was a huge breakout of polio in the US, including Missouri, where her family lived. Several of her friends died and a boy who lived near her survived but walked with a brace. They stayed in touch and the polio slowly eroded his ability to move. Johnny was the first person I knew of who get set up with a computer he could operate by moving his eyes. They exchanged emails until his death. Mom was deathly afraid my brother and I would get polio and whenever the vaccine was offered, she took us to get the shot. I remember when the shots turned into something we drank and later we’d get it in a sugar cube. Neither of us got polio thanks to her diligence.

@@tunneling-nanotubes thanks Andria. What I wasn't clear about was whether OPV virus had capacity to replicate without necessarily causing illness within IPV vaccinated populations, e.g. replicate in the guts of vaccinated folks, yet still pass on to others albeit without causing disease in the host? And, the extent to which individuals continue to spread 'seed'? It sounded like OPV in itself presents significant public health issues to communities where vaccine uptakes maybe low or impaired. An OPV vaccinated individual can arrive at anytime in an environment that is fertile and ready for Polio to to take hold. Related to the above is to what extent, and for how long does that risk last too?

Raised CSF pressure due to atypical meningitis in infancy is one presentation of polio. Clinically, there's tripod sign and muscle weakness. Nerves are damaged by stretching and pressure so there's diplopia due to abducens nerve damage and auditory nerve damage causees hearing defects. Splinting in infancy helps decrease the muscle weakness. In adult life, reflex gamma spindle activation of girdle joint tendons helps maintain muscle tone. Light stimulation of the overlying skin helps reactivate the isolated brain using sensory nerve to the region. Regular physical exercise and training helps the patient cope with daily activities.

Polio was a nightmare disease of my childhood summers until the IPV developed by Dr. JONAS SALK became available. As an elementary school student I sat in front of a girl who had had polio. She had steel braces on both legs, specially-designed shoes that went through the steel "stirrups" and crutches. Children in the 1950s knew what polio was. We were taken to Iron Lung Wards in hospitals to decorate Christmas Trees and hang wreaths in those wards. Polio was a serious threat and I still remrember having the three injections of the Salk vaccine when it became availableThe doctor taught us how to hold the upper arm muscle so that the hypodermic syringe did not hurt as it went in. I am forever grateful that my parents had their children vaccinated against Diphtheria. TB, Pertussis, Smallpox and, years later, Polio. I also remember when the Sabin Vaccine, dribbled on a sugar cube, was introduced in 1961. Sabin's OPV might have been easier to give to children but Salk's IPV is still the safer option.
