Wow this literally worked exactly as you showed! I was cleaning up the inside of my chrome steeldrum that I've had for years, and it had rust spots and was super dulled. I cleaned out the rust with a brillo pad and turtle wax, then cleaned the surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol since i didnt have degreaser. Then i used the flitz polish and bought a buffing ball for my drill, and it worked like a charm! Whole thing was done in like 10 mins

After the multitude of products I've used to polish chrome over the decades I discovered that "fine" bronze wool, (that's how it's sized) lubed with WD40 will polish the hell out of chrome FAST, no scratching, beautiful job, can't get it any shinier. Wipe it off and wax it. Done.

OR, once you get the gunk off, spend $2.25 on Turtle Wax chrome polish (yes, Turtle Wax) and get the same results with a soft towel. I've seen it remove minor rust spots off a Harley I detailed.

Flitz is great for gas stove glass. When the fire is going the glass doesn’t fog up and get to dirty! Amazing job on the chrome! Great product👍🏻👍🏻

D151 works really good on chrome bumpers as well, I use it with my 3 inch wool pads on the rotary.

i sanded down my dads 1986 kawsaki vulcan 750 vn, it has no rust now. Part of the exhaust like the tip is like brighter in color and more reflective, do you know how to get scratches out?

Time for some solution finish on the plastic cladding. Chrome looks great though. Need to get the hookup on that Citral as well. Superclean has been impressive already.

You should try S.O.S. pads sometime. The S.O.S. pads with the blue soap in them does wonders on chrome. It cleans, conditions, and polishes the chrome like new all in one step. You can clean the dirtiest bumper in under 2 minutes. Also gets rid of light rust.

I have a 05 Dodge Ram and the front looks just like this hence why I am watching the video lol...as far as the plastic, Peanut butter cleaned and oiled the stuff amazingly!! I then went the extra mile and used a cotton ball full of baby oil ;) wipe it in even strokes back and forth after removing the PB residue. Let sit for a bit I did an hour or so then buff off the baby oil! I live in Cali and the sun is brutal but my plastic looks great!

WHEN ALL CARS HAD CHROME BUMPERS, I used to use the aerosol spray of "stainless steel cleaner and polish". You spray it on like Windex, and just wipe off the dirty and grime. Forgive me if I tell you that it is better that this product. I discovered it when I was a teenager working in a hospital kitchen and they used it to clean all of the stainless things in the kitchen. It is petroleum based, but does not hurt any painted parts or anything. Any overspray just makes everything shine. You get it at a kitchen or building supply company. One can lasts forever.. Try it Scott...

I dont see why not. You just don't want to remove too much material. You could change their tone. 6000 grit shouldn't ever be a problem

There’s this one thing called wipe new and I used it on my truck, just one wipe on all the black plastics and it looked brand new

I use gloves and rub black rust oleum paint into those plastic bumper covers. Most of the paint gets rubbed off and if it doesn't use a little gas to thin it. This lasts for months and doesn't peel off because you have thinned it to the point there is not enough on there to peel. Try it on a beater/winter car first and see for yourself!

000 steel wool is what I use on any chrome. Spray a little soap and water mixture on the surface and wipe away. Works great

I was kind of being dumb. Used green pad (used for washing dishes) to take off black burnt on stuff on motorcycle chrome exhaust pipe then realized I scratched it up pretty good. Without seeing it do you think it may be able to be restored?

Beautiful job! Got me excited!!!! I have a 1988 F150 with pretty good looking "unloved" chrome. I have a two year old car with chrome around window area and it looks so crappy, almost white. Is there a difference in say a bumper and window dressing or is there a difference in chrome quality since 1988? Gotta order a ball for my drill for my truck. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time, I have what looks like several drops of oil on my new Chevy Silverado but will not come off when scrubbing it with soap & water,!would that orange degreaser take it off??? What brand do you use? I’ve seen it a Wallymart, not sure what brand orange degreaser recommended..

Thanks for the tip -- will FLITZ remove iron rust spots (no chips on the chrome bumper -- just spots) from CHROME bumpers as well? If not, any product to recommend? I live in Oregon, otherwise I would bring my truck to you!

I like chevys but the chrome front ends on the pickups would be better if it wasn't chrome plastic ,chrome mostly left here in calif because epa has Hazzard waste and they regulated it almost completely from the state

Scott you also share a lot of your technique, however rather than people stealing your technique I think they want to follow your professional techniques. Would someone be able to polish that chrome by hand granted they don't have that machine available?
