Original population of Kladsko was Czech, which was greatly Germanized over centuries. Kladsko changed from A-G empire to Prussia after the 1866 war. When it was given to Poland after WWII, the Polish authorities asked the Czech population whether they were Czechs or Poles. When they responded saying that they were Czechs, they were deported. Consequently, some responded as being Poles. Thus the Polish government could claim no Czechs living in Kladsko and therefore, no language, culture and other provisions were necessary. Contrary to that, Poles living in the area of Stetin remained in Czechoslovakia with full language and culture protection, including Polish school. Even recently, these citizens caused some troubles with nationalistic protests.
Just saying but I am really interested in the history of Czechoslovakia because before Ww2 my Maternal Great grandfather Joseph Kempf was living there with his wife and his 3 kids My Moms uncle Oscar My Maternal Grandfather Jeffrey and my moms aunt Herta and you see my maternal grandfather would always remember him seeing hitler invading Czechoslovakia and then they left Czechoslovakia because of the war but then after the war they tried to go back to Czechoslovakia but they couldn’t because the Soviet Union wouldn’t let them back into Czechoslovakia
