This is a review of the Senator, Consul, and Ambassador folding chess sets that we import from Poland. They are available in both brown and black in the three sizes.
I went ahead and finally bought one of these sets. There are two more color options for the large 21" set. Blue or Green are other options. The Green one I saw looked really cool but the traditional Black and Natural won my purchase. Poland also makes a Mahogany and Sycamore following sets as well. They are more of a standard tournament looking board. I have one in Tournament 6 size. However I got a really nice Ebonized Boxwood set that fits like a glove inside. I did end up getting a dice bag to store my extra Queens. Not a real fan of the Hornbeam tournament sets Poland makes. So that is why I went with a different set entirely.
I jumped and got this one after watching your review....then I saw them in amazon for half the price.. how different is this 21-inch from the one in amazon?
