Without a doubt the Polish made the finest Mosins. I’ve got a 1955 dated one that looks like it was made yesterday and never fired, it’s the most beautiful rifle I’ve ever seen. Commonly called the Polish M44 the correct designation is wz. 44 Great Video
Just with the quick comparison between the two of them , the Polish is better made . The Russian M44 I have is war wartime production and has machining marks on it . Also the Russian concept of keeping it simple ( if you can call it that ), does not need to be pretty , just needs to function . I do hope to acquire a Chinese Type 53 and a Hungarian M44 to have a side by side comparison .
