Dolton residents and trustees passed a resolution calling for an investigation into Mayor Tiffany Henyard. Then, the mayor vetoed that resolution. NBC 5’s Christian Farr reports. Read more here: www.nbcchicago.com/news/local...
Do u hope the president and congress go too cuz if memory serves me they gave Ukraine 80 trillion and now ur taxes are paying for it so who's the bigger crook,
Diversity hire at it's best! This is exactly what happens when you stop voting for the person's that are best for the position. Educate yourself...listen to the facts/campaign notes not skin color or gender.
@@jasonmorgan661 Maybe because people did not look closer into her but considered her gender and skin color as qualification. I think, one of her supporters is among those fighting to get her out.
@@henning439EXACTLY - black ppl who vote for politicians JUST CAUSE THEY'RE BLACK - just like OBAMA who killed the MOST PPL AROUND THE WORLD, is talked about as a great president... JUST CAUSE THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN - GTFO this is why VOTES DON'T WORK. - the majority of the ppl voting are RETARDED
Not necessarily true. You just dont allow law enforcement to enter your home even though you have nothing to hide. Anyways, I’m not a fan of her at all she is corrupt!
Many didn't get the well hidden threat she made. With the police in her back pocket, she chose "illegal" as her response to the resolution, "Hey, trustees, with me running the police, are you sure you want to do something we delare illgeal?"
@@orreongman yeah a culture of black ppl who think they're better than others while killing each other and causing the most crimes from the smallest group. that's what she's backed by. Remember she was voted in... most likely just for the color of her skin and gender. You looking for conspiracies and others to blame when the people to blame are the VOTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can't tell the MAFIA to go investigate themselves moron. First step is to disbann ALL UNIONS and fire ALL police from govt. hire security in place of police. all judges and all politicians have 1 year term, after which they must re-qualify for the position against other competitors for that position. there's a start. STOP with lawsuits. all that does is take our tax money and doesn't FIX THE PROBLEM of CORRUPTION.
@@sprice2719 Staffed doesn't mean funded. The few that are left are not combating crime like they should. Overtime is barely being payed .(if at all) and all the guys that went in expecting to serve the community are long gone. They cried for less police, now they deal with the crime (including their own mayor lol)
@@AGirlNamedVan I wouldn't go that far. I live in West Michigan. Grand Haven. Ottawa county. For over 60 yrs. Most of our Mayors, City n County Commissioners were OutStanding Elected folks. Our Grand Haven n all Ottawa county is very successful In part because of their Civic guidance. Our #NationalCoastGuardFestival is known across America. But bad seeds turn up. Like that Mayor in Dolton who must GO. Before she bankrupts that town . Our town not much bigger n were doing GREAT.
I don't understand how she can prevent anyone from being able to see the financial records. Those records can't be hidden forever. She can't be the person who has the last say who can and can't see the documents.
She doesnt get it. She should have resigned a long time ago and walked away. Because once you make national news shes done for..... but she thinks she can hide them forever
The citizens are too pussified and cowardly to do anything about it. It is happening all across the nation, in all of the Democratically-run areas. It will take someone to grow a pair, to actually get something done. These people are going to wait yet another month ???
HOW WAS OBAMA PRESIDENT FOR 2-TERMS AFTER KILLING THE MOST INNOCENT PPL AROUND THE WORLD WHILE IN OFFICE?????? - you asking midget ass questions to midget ass ppl
Why is Jamie diamond not in prison?? Why is Hunter Biden not in prison? Why is Bloomberg not in prison? They did way more crime then her. Wake up we live in a criminal society and starts with the top level business class goes all the way down
So only 1 of these people are DA’s and it’s interesting that your list only contains black women when the overwhelming majority of politicians and people in power is white. I don’t condone this mayors behavior and she should be investigated, removed, and jailed if called for. But if we’re calling our cards, let’s call All the spades, spades.
Watching this scenario play out and seeing how the mayor and some of the trustees speak and behave, it's like an amateur school play, or a post apocalyptic town that's popped up with a dictator taking over the town It's very surreal and quite scary.
no dummy she did not investigate herself.... she VETO'd the investigation... VETO means she's AGAINST it...... clown stop parroting others especially jokes targeted at police.
She’s always talking about transparency but when the time permits itself she hides the facts. If she was truly for the people as she says, then she would want ALL of her work to be public information so she can get the credit she claims she deserves!! Lies will always come to the light…
This mayor chose Dolton for a reason: the town appears to have no controls in place and no public records transparency. This is why she can approve vendor projects, appropriate police resources for her own personal use, and book luxury travel with no oversight. The town has no controls in place. She will eventually be ousted and potentially jailed, but the town is partly responsible for the situation they’re in. If controls were in place, this corruption would be more difficult to do and much easier to stop.
So let me get this right. Running a village like a Somalian warlord isn't such a good idea. The board members who neglected their responsibilities and the people who voted for her deserve all the financial pain that is coming their way. Meanwhile Tiffany is relishing in the ongoing publicity.
This woman is an absolute wreck. The FBI is investigating for a reason, the regional news is reporting for a reason, and the national news has picked this up for a reason. Tiffany Henyard is destined for JAIL. I honestly can't wait to watch video of the FBI arresting her, her walk to the face a judge, and the trial that'll follow. I feel for the taxpayers of Dolton. I hope this serves as a valuable lesson.
Instead of waiting until April 1st, the board should go ahead and hold an emergency meeting and override the Mayor's vetoe. Another three weeks without an investigation means more debt.
I saw this online...The mayor serves as the city's political head but generally sits as a council member and does not have veto power...makes sense to me, especially if veto power means hiding a city's financial records/spending to cover up a Mayor's illegal activities, and other suspicious spending activities, that is not voted on by council members. I thought council members/trustees voted on spending/resolutions and the majority rules, and a Mayor gets one vote like all other council members, not a single overruling vote/veto, so that not any one person, like this Mayor is trying to do, can run a city into bankruptcy by mismanagement? A much louder rambling voice, and saying "I'm your leader", does not give any one person/Mayor, more power than they legally/reasonably have...unless others in power, for whatever reason, give it to them?
We're witnessing a concerning situation where our mayor is allegedly breaking several laws regarding spending. Her recent move to veto a call for an FBI investigation into her spending raises serious red flags. It's disheartening to see such blatant disregard for financial responsibilities to the people. One can't help but wonder why it takes so long for the government to investigate corruption. The integrity of our local government is at stake, and swift action is imperative. The people of Daton deserve transparency and accountability in how their tax dollars are being managed. It's time for authorities to expedite this investigation and ensure that justice prevails. We cannot allow corruption to go unchecked. Our community's trust and well-being depend on it.
