Dr. Shah said that President Trump is clear that this (US) is not an immigration nation and is for White Christians. Where does he get this from? True there are far right white Christians who are Trump supporters who feel that way. This is a concern for people of Bharatiya origin. De dollarisation is real, but the effect is being exaggerated. Countries will trade in their currencies but the Dollar will be the currency of choice to hold sovereign wealth.
Dr Shah is sometimes over enthusiastic. While he is focused on western societies’ fault lines and failings he fails to see and weigh the Indian ones in comparison. Also, he neglects western strengths too. USA is an incredibly richly endowed continent with natural resources including energy. Their society is relatively homogeneous, more unified and stable. India has too many problems to come close to compare. For example, the push to inflate your economy to provide freebies or benefits to sections of the population in return for political power is always stronger in India than elsewhere. That is why you cannot scale anything of consequence in India, excepting services, which are subject to customer induced market discipline day by day. See how the Karnataka government or Kerala or even the much vaunted TN do their business. Even TN does not approach scaling of any of the SE Asian countries like Thailand or Malaysia, let alone Vietnam. Dedollarization is only a distant dream when your exchange rate is falling every day. Gold is very nice to have but of no intrinsic utility- which is why even a 5000 year old gold coin stays as such. Other problems with gold are portability and secuirity. Digital is good, but the strong connection to economic and political controls of ‘fiat’ means that digital will prevail when it is connected to more ‘freer’ societies and economies, read the US and the west. Unless, Dr Shah is willing to bet that somehow India will be more ‘freer’ than the west, I don’t see his predictions coming true. Free doesn’t mean in any political sense, but more as to which peoples are more unified, not willing to be set off to fight against each other by being manipulated easily, which are less controlled by oligarchies and such.
