How can u float your currency when u produce nothing...that single move is what push inflation high...those billions u pay to state govt don't have value anymore..
If they can't give account of the money given to them why is federal government still given them? Give account of how you spend the money and you can receive another one. Governors must be acceptable of our money 😢😊😊😮😮😮
Are you really aware that the Presidency have no control over the governors in our constitution? He can only persuade them. The EFCC cannot prosecute serving governors till the end of their terms. The State House of Assmbly is the only institution empowered to cut them to sizes, but unfortunately, they are all bought.
There is an adage in Yoruba that ssys "Tia ba sunkun a mo riran" that's weeping or crying of pain should not make us to be blind and fall into ditch. Those who are calling for the military unfortunately the youths are only planning to cut their head off just to treat headache. They will be the worse for it. Please ask those of us who are old enough to witness military rule in Nigeria and you will never pray they move an inch close to your country. What's happening in Niger, Mali, Guinea and other West Africa nation today, the damage and destruction inflicting on those nations will be unimaginable in the next few years. It's like a wood beng eaten by termite but hidden inside while the surface still look standing only to turn into powdery substance at the time it's needed most.
Thank u. This young folks are mostly ignorant. For the fact they're able to go on social medias and vent their angers and insult the President is a testimony to our democracy. They think with the military rule they can do the same.
They were insulting me online last night when Introed to educate them on this. Do they think they will access the social media the way they do under democracy or openly demonstrate. Do they hear of any protest in those countries occupied by the millitary in West Africa. They dare not.
All the private t.v stations and private radio stations that speak against any policies of the government will be closed down. Social media? Forget about it. We will be force to watch only NTA stations and listen to FRCN. Then, we will be alright. Kids nowadays don't know anything.
@@akibmuhammad3899 freedom of speech. Any gossiping during Abacha time. Not in his favor! Na jail be that! The one Rufai dey do for arise t.v. just dey look am. It's a pity many young people nowadays do not know about the struggle then. Clamoring for Military.!!! God, please don't let it happen.
These criminals diverting attention from the main issue forgetting that if all the grievances of the masses are not solved there maybe a repeat of the protest in the country.
Seun, I will need you to help clarify this issue, our political elites complain about looting by hungry people but they seat down in office and loot the Treasury with any repercussions. Do not get me wrong I am not in support of looting but it did not start with the protesters, it started with our political leaders and elites.
I have been saying this for so long. The media needs to do a better job. The last time you invited a Senator to your show, he was accusing the President of not being in charge. This is a guy who has been in government since 1999 and has been collecting bullet proof vehicle every 4 years since 2003, Collecting constituent allowances since then. It is the job of the media to educate the masses. The governors and the National Assembly members are flowing agbada about town as if they are not part of the government
I think we are all wise and grown up enough to know that this is what will happened at the end of the day. Now they are regretting all their influencing the agitators. Now they influence it and want to reversing their deed.
Our next protest will not be targeted at the federal level. Our protest will be targeted at the local government. By the time local government chairman are hold responsible then government will be felt at grass root
Mr Seun should invite state and local governments officials to answer questions on the utilisation of the funds in question. Mr Falana does not have access to state and local govt acct.
The fact that some people thought they're above the law because they're lawyers calls for a rethink of the kind of democracy we practice in Nigeria. Femi Falana, Ebun Adegboruwa, Deji Adeyanju, Peter Obi& Co should be held accountable for the destruction and looting of our commonwealth in Nigeria. They promised peaceful protest but look at what the whole thing turn out to be. These are the real enemies of Nigeria. These are people who have direct access to the seat of power ,who could have dialog with the government on behalf of the people but chose the path of destruction. They should be made a scapegoat for others to know that nobody is above the law.
Tinibu should be ashamed he had the chance to address the people request he refused to do the needful. Where are the traditional rulers and religious leaders he relied on. They are watching like spectators
The sponsors of the protest are not in DIASPORA and cannot be identified outside Nigeria 1. Hunger not in diaspora. 2. Government spending not in diaspora. 3. Corruption not in diaspora. 4. Unemployment not in diaspora. 5. New presidential jet not in diaspora. 6. VP quarters renovation not in diaspora. 7. Bayo Onanuga not in diaspora. 8. Bigot First Lady not in diaspora. Nigeria problems are in the State/Federal government houses.
I sincerely think , this man should be ignored permanently. What is he saying here, you supported anarchy, and you are now trying to excuse yourself from the mess you have called. Nonsense
Femi Falana will soon regret what he have sign for, because as a lawyer you suppose not to sign for any protests of faceless people at this time of inflation especially when it has intonation of coup where they are asking military to take over. Because you want people to love you and now endangered to bear bad image and what of if it splunge to a full blown war, what will you now tell yourself, next time as an elderly person look before you leap
These ones seated here dishing out threat doesn't know that their men are not even happy with them. Are the soldiers fairing any better than ordinary Nigerians. Siddon dey form Boss.
It's unfortunate that Senator Sani is spending 90% of his energy condemning the protest instead of dwelling on the fundamental factors that led to the protest in the first place. Civil protest arises for reason. People are not crazy to jump jump to the street to protest.
From what they have said and the figures coming out the Governor's, Minister's, Senators and Federal representative should start making Thier expenditure, contracts and responsibilities public, bcos the youths now will turn to them for accountability
I have a question? What is more important to the people democracy or food and water? Democracy is a European construct imposed on Africa, our education, laws, are the european colonizers intrested in Africas Development??
What Nigeria needs at this time is not military rule; it's asking for trouble. All we ask is for enabling environment for businesses constant power supply, good roads and affordable coordinated transportation, portable water supply to all, reduce cost of food, and give security to all and sundry, so farmers can go back to their farms. And as well reduce the pump price. In the developed countries the government of the day gave all these basic needs at reach to all citizens. That's what we call good governance. What the People are asking for is very simple. But it's apparent this government do not have understanding and has no empathy on its poor, hungry and longsuffering citizens.
In respect to the issue of protest, it could be seen here that Mr. Femi Falana [ SAN] would hate himself if he could have a time to rewatch this interview of his. With respect to the learned silk, common sense should have taught him that there's not calling a peaceful protest in the world. What you would call a peaceful protest would definitely snowball into a violence whether or not the hoodlums hijack it. Femi Falana was seen championing the cause of protest before it actually launched. With him was Mr. Ebun Adegboruwa [ SAN]. Funny enough, Mr. Adegboruwa received a blow from the protesters he said he was soliciting for when they refused to listen to his call for the suspension of the protest. Now that the protesters have taken the protest to another dimension which Mr. Femi Falana never envisaged by opening calling for the military intervention to hijack our democracy which he Feminine Falana fought for, Mr. Femi Falana is now secretly blaming his conscience for supporting the ongoing protest. Mr. Femi Falana [SAN] should know that there are thousands of ways of fighting the government and compel it to exercise its constitutional duties to the citizenry without adopting the option of hanarchy and brutish in our land.
What if it was the government that introduced the people protesting for milliary take over. Onanuga had promised a counter protest. They could infuse this people to change the outlook of the protest
The major difference between the northern and southern protest is the poverty/hunger level in the land. North has abject poverty/hunger while in the south is a little bit fair for now.
Buhari government was bad, Tinubu government is worse. Buhari Dollar to naira was 700naira. Tinubu Dollar to naira is 1600naira. Buhari beans was 800naira per kongo, now it is 3500naira. Beans that used to be a common man food. In 2015 beans was 300naira.
Medicine after death. Mr Falana is speaking as if he's just waking up to the reality of urchin and almajiri roaming the street of the north unrestrained. Were the yeye activists not warmed of the danger of calling out street urchin for a protest christined "Days of rage"
Falana is not making sense today. You can't start saying you did not envisage the current turn of events. When the government was asking for the organisers and their clear plans, you all said, it's the entire Nigerians without any structured leadership. You claim you don't expect anarchy? You are not making sense. If you truly did not expect the turn of event, then you are not as intelligent as I thought.
I'm not sure this man understands that underperforming governments can be asked to leave office. The governor is the CEO of the state. If he/she is underperforming, the ppl can ask him to leave and pay him off.
Most of our good roads were don during military rule, and till now no civilian government could do any good road so I think we should go back to military rule. Also no local government gives Bursery to students again which was given during military rule. All our civilian rulers could not be hold responsible so there is no difference from that of military. So lets go back to military, the fear of the military will make people or govt or local govt or governor to account for their stewarshp
Someone should ask falana if the way tinubu got to the presidency was "constitutional". He who asks for equity must come with clean hands... "Anarchy looms" - Kenneth okonkwo 😂
Why did you not come out and lead . You were not invited because you are one of the privilege one . Why did u not advice tinibu to listen to the masses
Sorry oooo you should rather be the one that should be worried not Tinubu. Even if coup occurs today Tinubu will still be recognized as former president he has achieved what non from your region has achieved. You should watch your back Tinubu can never poor.
@@marcusabolo6642Tinubu can never afraid of your military take over, he will just thank God and go and rest, did Buhari not happy when you people frustrated him that he's not Buhari, but one thing I know is that north will never allow Ibo to rule Nigeria.
