Crocosmia are stunning indeed, I love seeing the flowers in a row in different stages of development :)

Been a long time Flock viewer, and I always chortle to myself because both Summer and Sander have gotten more muscular since starting Flock -- especially Sander 😆 Fun fact: sunflowers will dwarf themselves when grown in containers. The deeper the container, the taller they will grow. I planted 6 to 8 foot tall varieties in just a 7 inch deep container, and they only grew to 1.5 feet tall or shorter. Of course, the flower heads are smaller; however, you get the wow factor from sunflowers!

Here for ALL the chipmunk and gopher (?) footage you've got! Too cute! That planter is going to look amazing as it matures and blooms.

Enjoyed the video and found the effort to label each plant is really appreciated.

I’ve been doing this since we moved into our home in Nebraska. I absolutely love my Corten steel planters and I’m sure you will too.

you should do pollinator strip borders and also mow beyond that to try to encourage natives - native strip/pollinator strip - would make good content

Creeping Jenny is tough. It’s perennial in zone 6 and it will definitely take over as a ground cover. All it takes is one node to root and establish. I don’t mind, it’s better than other, less desirable weeds.

Another way to elevate your pots on the deck is with used corks. 😀

It blooms from the top down... in fact it's one of the only plants in the world to do so.

Summer!!!! Can’t wait to see the pot when those beauties get acclimated. What’s the source for the bird nesting box on the front of the house?

Looking g forward to seeing that pot fill out. It is surprising to see what is considered a non native invasive plant (creeping Jenny) included in the pot.

Will you leave this out over winter? I'm in zone 4/5 and I have to put my perennial pots in the shed during the winter or the plants die.
