It was very under engineered. Reliability issue, too costly to maintain and more over was a very cheap and under efficient engines. @@Thenikhilkhurana Cause it's easy to derive power from an engine but to do that efficiently is quite difficult. Have u ever owned 1? Cause i owned one and drove 2-3 of my friends too on that basis i can say it's nowhere close to Hyundai or Kia in terms of efficiency. These koreans are super silent and no vibrations which VW are not and this can only be achieved when engines are super efficient. So many issues these VW cars have but fanboys ignore these cause u know they are fanboys. Even as an enthusiast i would sacrifice a little performance in exchange for more reliability and overall package cause the performance difference is not noticeable until you compare side by side which no one do in real life and rather than waiting for my car in service centre for days i would prefer a little slow car which i can basically drive cause it's reliable.
@@mokshjaiswal8494 Ever own one? Man, I have a 1 Ltr Polo TSI and 1.5 Ltr 2017 Vento TSI. Both the engines are super silent. Never ever I had the need to go to a service center except normal service days. You can't expect mileage from Kia/Hyundai or VW as all of them use turbo charged engines. Feature wise I can say the Kia/Hyundai have more to offer but nothing more than that!
