This is what I looking for brother. Thank you for your amazing share. I like manual translation since sometimes "current slang" phrases in one language cannot be "updated" with automatic translation. In order to "touch" our visitor, sometimes we need to adjust with "current slang" or "buzz" in one of another language, and polylang plugin (free) give what I need.

Great explanation, I would suggest to install a plugin that duplicate the pages, you avoid copy paste.

Hello, Regarding the Media part, I did not activate multilingual on Polylang. So I use the photo for French and English. I would like to enable it so that I can change the messages, titles and alt for the English version. Would there be a mass solution to place the current version of my photos in the French version and create an English version? THANKS

Hey bro, a question... If I used Wamp server to create a wordpress website locally, when should I install the Polylang plugin? On a local site or when the site goes live on a live server? I'm afraid that something will break ;/

hi I know polylang does not mirror pages, but can you do this: the linked translated page is outdate. You want to relink the newer source page with a clone of it, and then translate again. This is possible when no translated pageare linked yet, but once linked, it seems impossible to relink with another page the the originally linked one.

what about multilingual footer. because i used a text widget don't know how to make other lang.

Nice vid! I brought Polylang Pro, still it won`t copy the content from the page builders. Support hasn`t replied me yet, but I think I gonna refund and try other multilang, WPML is good, except the speed is slow. Also, there is a page duplication plugin that can copy pages, but ploylang gives me some headahce on the homepage slur..

Why are my Menu Locations empty?

Question... any idea how to make the language switcher appear in mobile view without having to click on the menu button? I think the switcher needs to be added to the header as a separate block than the menu, but I'm not sure how to achieve that.

Yesterday I tried this, but when I click the button English (the new language to be added) (in your video 9:37, it says: "This page doesn't seem to exist. It looks like the link pointing here was faulty. Maybe try searching?" So I deleted everything, deleted the languages in Polylang, deleted Polylang alltogether and all the files connected to it. Today I tried again. I followed all your instructions. With the same result. What I noticed in your video (8:03) under the pencil, is that it says Home - and not Home-Afrikaans. It is the same with me. When I click on the page, it leads me to the new (English) Homepage. When I click 'Edit' as well. And when I click on the flag too. Although both without the menu on top. But when I click 'View' it says "This page doesn't seem to exist" And when I click on the pencil, it will lead me to my (Dutch) Homepage. Can you (or anybody who feels like responding) please tell me what's going wrong? In Love, Petra

How ugly can a page be when a menu has a lingo tag next to it for absolutely no reason. The more I learn about it the more i see polylang as a very impotent tool.
