A very cool variation on the chalk pastel and lace veneer plus a bonus veneer.

wow Gloria, that's such a lovely thing to say, thank you so much. I love to use these veneers in some of the cabachons and tube beads I make. You can find them on my flickr page or my facebook page and you can just google and they should come up. Thanks again Gloria.

Debbie, I love what you've done here with the chalks and the gold paint... I've never even thought of using chalk and lace, I do use mica powders which gives the clay a beautiful sheen and rubber stamps to create awesome impressions... I love this video..

Hi Debbie, do you happen to have some photos of what you used your veneers for? Also do you wash your pieces of lace for the next project or let them build up with chalk? Thanks!!! Love it
@debbiecrothers1
@debbiecrothers1 6 лет назад
Hi Wanda, I'm sorry for the delay in replying to you here. I have lots of pics and actually have done a blog post which is on my website specifically about what I've done with polymer clay veneers. I would absolutely wash my lace if I didn't want a chalk built up..good thinking.

Do you have to run the piece clay through the pasta machine after applying medium? I like the embossed surface rather than the smooth.
@debbiecrothers1
@debbiecrothers1 5 лет назад
Of course you don't have to flatten this sheet Kerrie, it's simply another way of doing it.

you made the comment that you are using kato clay so of course they aren't sticking together - i have never used kato - what did you mean about that? thank you for the tutorial!
@debbiecrothers1
@debbiecrothers1 7 лет назад
hey Sally, so sorry for the delay in getting back to you...I completely missed your message. Kato clay pulls apart quite easily if you stick two pieces together...sorry I wasn't more specific, hope this helps.

Debbie have you tried using the gelli plate to make veneers
@debbiecrothers1
@debbiecrothers1 3 года назад
hey there and actually yes I have but it was many many years ago when I first started. My knowledge of polymer clay, what it can do and how it reacts was quite limited back then so I dare say it's why I didn't have much success. I've tried many other substrates since then and found some very cool and interesting ways to work with clay. I'm assuming you use them?
@Janjeffs0000
@Janjeffs0000 3 года назад
Hi Debbie yes I use them they make fantastic patterns on clay and Debbie I love your work and tutorials 👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🙏

@@Janjeffs0000 I can imagine they do to...I've seen some beautiful work online from people using them. Thanks so much for your kind words. xx
