Tim embraced being content-minded/present pretty early and so that certainly played a role in him being Polyphia's "default" guy. It does make me happy to see that especially since their latest album, people are really waking up to Scott.
SO MUCH potential with that TOD10. Turned out to be absolute trash. EDIT: this is all on Ibanez... The design choices seemed interesting. The execution... total garbage. Non-stop quality issues from the beginning and a full year from the initial launch date until they started even showing up in the stores.
@@Bwucey Well - the first thing I see is someone that needs to learn how to use punctuation. Perhaps what I'd expect, though, from a Tim Henson fanboy that would eat crap if it had Tim's name on the turd.
Watching Tim Henson and Scott LePage of the band Polyphia as they rip pentatonic blues licks over the ending of Playing God has definitely been an experience that absolutely SHOULD NOT feel as surreal as it does.
It's underrated compared to the rest of what he does. It's become ubiquitous because it's the only way to play what he plays. Like Jeff Beck's right hand is his "thing". Tim's "thing" is more the composition itself. He definitely doesn't come to most people's minds as a "fingerstyle guitarist".
I know Scott can shred and I like both of their playing equally, but damn did Tim rip hard when it got to his section. I like Scotty's guitar better though, I'm a sucker for white and gold; they even made the screws and pickup poles gold :0
@NA-yw9zu it's a bit less so, because you can look at a guitar as an era in your life and move on and that's fine. Still a bit cringey, but at least it's somewhat obscure. He could've taken it to the grave with him or made something else up to justify the name
Really interesting to see that Tim cloned his 3rd position tone from the THBB10’s 4th position. For the longest time, I didn’t dig how “glassy” that position sounded on the THBB, but over time I’ve grown to love that unique sound. It sort of draws a sonic equivalent to how marble statues look, at least for me. Cool to see you’re able to do that sound on his new sig alongside his other tones.
That's the big divide between Strat and Tele players. That glassy position (2 & 4 on a Strat) can feel weak and limiting unless you really commit to using it. So incredibly different from a Tele middle position, despite both being two single coils in parallel.
Why are people so salty 😂😂 y'all mad cuz they don't play the same 4 chords and do pentatonic runs on every song? Or just play zeros on a drop z, guess seeing skillful musicians doing new things scares people
God damn Scotty can play clean. It's literally akward to have Tim and Scott next to each other it's like the 2 best kids on the team trying to outpoint each other every game even though they are on the same time it's heated haha
Really glad that Tim announced new colours for his guitar. I thought of eventually getting the silver one but the colour was the only thing I wasn’t a fan of. Excited to see new ones
@@imaginarynoise show was insane, the whole crowd was going wild with the mosh pits and crowd surfing. To make it even better I caught Manuel Fernandes’ pick 😎. Absolutely insane night
I feel bad for people that hate them, they literally don’t know that these guys have listed these “golden age” heavy metal bands as some of their influences. Sucks to suck
its not just the skill that makes these two such legendary rockstars that will never be forgotten for their contribution to guitar. So many young players were inspired to grab a guitar and begin that relentless focus and study of the instrument to reach a mountain top as quickly as possible. Its the 5min mile concept. Humans are awesome
I was dead set on getting Tim's new signature as soon as I saw it. The more I see Scott's though I'm leaning more and more towards the KRYS10. Both guitars look incredible
Before I can even get 1 Tim's already saying there's going to be other colors which is exactly what I was hoping for so now I have to wait even longer ugh
Its a stupid idea honestly. The remnants would last longer than the relationship and removing it will make an irreparable damage. Its as stupid as making a tattoo of your gf name on your body.
Why are there so many salty people Polyphia started trending since Impassion (2013) and then Champagne/Aviator(2014), is your instrumental scene knowledge so narrow that you needed to jump on the hate train of that last album to have an opinion? Lmao
Haha sorry what how does a humbucker look cleaner with less going on when it's literally 2 single coils stacked 🤣🤣 there is literally MORE stuff going on haha I get what he means but still funny af
Man Scott is quite the guy clearly either as good or very nearly the same level as Tim. Yet doesn't mind letting Tim get most of the shine and just getting his shine when it comes.
I think the common single coil setup is usually 3 pickups as opposed to 2 humbuckers. I understand what you mean, but this is most likely what he's talking about.
Would it be possible to remove the pick guard from Scotts model? I think it would look so clean without it IMO still really nice though I think I like his better
My dream guitar would be Scotts guitar (thtat fretboard with no dots in the middle looks so clean, and the gold is insane) with Tims pickup configs (not a lot needs to be said, it's pretty much perfect)
