On 11:55 you could hit the juggernaut with your knight. He would still remain on the city and juggernauts don’t have retaliation, so free damage basically. Anyways, great videos, goated skin, keep it up
Nice skin, but I wish it didn't turn all conquered territory into Elyrion terrain. I'd like to see a dark spooky version of Cymanti and Yaddak terrain when it gets taken over. Looks weird how all the hills get flattened, the mountains change shape, and the trees change species the moment you capture a city.
@@tbhidk1257 Yeah true. I wonder if there is some kind of technical difficulty to implementing more unique variations in Polaris and midnight terrain, or if it's just that they didn't design enough art assets.
@@RandomStrategicPlayer I don't know what language Polytopia is, but I've done some C#, gdscript, Python, and Java. In theory it doesn't seem like it would be an enormous challenge to implement this feature unless it's just incompatible with the way they set up terrain back before they added special tribes. Tbh I think it would probably look better to just put a blueish filter over conquered terrain than to turn it all into Elyrion tiles.
To be honest, in my head canon of Polytopia, I could see Midnight Elyrion Tribe alongside Vengir Tribe and Cymanti Tribe be portrayed as villainous and evil aligned tribes given their implied backstory of their evil nature.
I would would argue the regular Vengir are militaristic but not evil or villainous, the Burzgor cultists though would probably get along great with the Midnight Elyrion.
@@thisisaname38 I would say people are more like unwittedly victims to the unsuspected ambushes by bugs that preys on the host by its brains. Realistically, who would want a bug to control a brain which could make for an unpleasant fate.
@@sigmaropininexus4315 in there description it's says they learned to live with the bugs,if they were ambushed by them there description would say that,or something along the lines.
Nice skin, but these bot games are still kind of brain rot. Could we see some pvp with Elyrion? I want to play them more but I keep getting bodied by Cymanti early centipedes
The invisible scout it tells your units when its nearby and depending on all your units you can calculate where the scout is hiding (the spy or idk what its called but hes invisible)
i havent played this game in a while. i looked at the app store to reinstall it and saw 2 versions of poly on the app store. one is the regular polytopia, and one is polytopia +. whats the difference between the two?
I´d love to watch some pvp videos with this skin! I feel like Elyrion is underused for content and the dragons make for a very exciting and different watch. Awesome video Gully! :)
Yeah, the skins are great… But the game has gotten painfully slow in comp, and perfection scores have tanked and there’s no spread. I understand that lowering the skill cap gets in new players and sells more skins, but it’s at the cost of actual fun. The naval update is miserable and the balancing has only gotten worse since launch.
I disagree. Before, with battle ships the skill was very low, you just spam them. Now, you need to know what to build. Not just spam. perfection scores have tanked exactly because of the fact that you need more skill, so the less skillful players lost some of their score.
What I’m saying isn’t an opinion, it’s observable reality. Slower play gives more time to recover from mistakes. Battleships were a problem after Naval, until the rebalance, but they were fine before and are fine now. Scores coming down to reflect skill is fine, but spread between high skill cap players and low skill cap players drastically narrowing is not. All these changes slow the game down so new kids can feel good about themselves longer before they inevitably get snowballed.
