I was just scrolling through 350z videos once again and it brought me to this one. I watched your original video on the installation of that lip. Very great review which led me to purchase one of my own. Glad I opted to use your link and not another because the fitment was amazing and the lip is still in great condition after 2.5 years! definitely giving ya a sub this time lol

That's great to hear you had a similar experience with the product. Magic Drift is awesome and the price is super fair. Thanks for the sub! Every single one counts.

Your Z and mine are almost twins. I have the same lip and switch back LED's. Got them both because of you. Mine has held up really nice over the last years also. Really like the look of mine over not having on on there. It added more to the styling of the car in opinion.

You have good taste lol. I think Magic Drift makes a fantastic product. I don't see a lot of "body kit" parts taking the same abuse this thing can.

I filled mine with foam for a firm flex. with a line of bottom screws to protect from dips n scrapes. There's a special paint by duplicolor with a fade X technology. I didn't really like the unpainted finish just to match the cars gloss.

On the zed lip, how well does it clear pulling up on ramps for DIY maintenance?

Polyurethane. Doesn't crack or shatter on impact.

Nope, I just used a heat gun to help it get back to its original shape. Here's the original video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cJe5ibTavBA.html

I have a small crack in my lip at the inner fender as it wraps around the edge. Are you aware if an epoxy like J-B Weld can bond to the polyurethane?
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 3 года назад
There's a decent chance. You'll want to sand it on the inside to help it bond and hold it together with something while it dries. You might also want to glue something small inside to help brace it.

@@AnthonyJ350 Looks like my repair worked. I sanded and cleaned the crack with alcohol. Glued with J-B Weld Plastic Bonder. Let dry overnight. Added some drywall mesh tape and another layer of Plastic Bonder to further splint, followed by another thin layer of J-B Weld Kwik to be sure. Seems pretty strong. I’ll mount on my car and see how it holds up.

Why not just sand it and paint it? Mine faded after a year, to save the headache I removed it and painted it along with side skirts

Because I didn't want to and I just rub on a plastic detailer to renew it.

How different is polyurethane from polypropylene? I bought 2 polypropylene splitters and they broke same day cuz these dam LA roads and driveways.. is polyurethane better or which splitter should I get that’s durable

@@AnthonyJ350 i think I might get one cuz I went for the PP material because it was only 70 bucks but broke so easily.. is polyurethane more flexible like rubber? I honestly wish someone made rubber front lips that would be perfect for lowered cars
