Hello from the high desert of New Mexico, my name is James Mason and I live in my old bus in the desert and I think this stove would be perfect for me to cook with and stay warm this winter but I could never afford it, I don't have a job right now
@nmr6988
@nmr6988 2 года назад
I doubt that I could afford a titanium stove, so this would be my favorite of all the ones I've watched to demonstrate. I like being able to load it through a wider entrance rather than a small and lengthwise entrance. I just love everything about this stove. Thanks so much for the great demonstration.

You might find out that titanium or cast iron stoves don't transfer heat as they are insulated and most of the heat goes out of the chimney 😟. This one will get hot and keep you warm. Clever thing 👍

I just saw this on their website and the owners reviews were very positive! The tolerances on this stove are particularly precise to make it smoke tight, which befits a dweller stove which is not designed to disassemble for packing small. The cooktop is 3mm thick to prevent warping which is a really nice touch. The secondary air and baffle really impressed me, as did that truly spectacular window and its airwash system. I had been considering a small wood burning stove, even more so as the charges for electricity and gas supplies has skyrocketed in my country, as have petrol and diesel fuels, whereas I can get wood at no cost (other than to go and get it). It is clear that a considerable amount of thought has gone into this stove, and with its desirable features mentioned above and its very attractive, modern and purposeful appearance, its currently my favorite choice! For vans, cargo trailer camper conversions, truck campers, rv's and tiny houses and cabins, this beautifully made stove is a serious contender, at a very affordable price.

Wood stove technology has come along way in 25 years. Impressed the engineer considered secondary gas burner and the air wash vents for the viewing glass although, not convinced the viewing glass won't soot-up, but that is no big deal. -Good presentation!

@edsmith4414

Our stove has has the air wash feature. The glass WILL soot over if you turn the air intake to the lowest setting with some woods.....I suspect they have a little more moisture content than others, even though seasoned 2 years. But upon adding more wood, and opening the air back to full open, the soot is gone within a short time.

Tents are flammable. I can’t imagine using this in a tent.
@Brad-vs1lk
@Brad-vs1lk 2 года назад
Someone finally figured it out! The way it should have been since hot tent stoves were first designed. Now what it still needs are side windows as an option. An accessory that sits on top to increase the cooking area such as a griddle or something similar. Attachable side drying racks for wet socks or mitts or toques. Also an extra ash tray or some sort of plate to allow you to empty the ash tray while the fire is in full force so not to allow ash to fall below into the bottom and possibly out the vent hole. Fancy window patterns as another option! A top round wood feeding port would be nice like on older stoves! When all these options are introduced Pomoly won’t be able to keep up to demand and that’s when my money goes towards one! Great product Pomoly!! A few more tweaks and you will be leading the others by a long shot!!!!

Love it, great presentation and very good wood stove.! 2 things: (1) Make sure a person has a both, a 'smoke detector' and a 'carbon monoxide detector'. A 2 in 1 combo unit 'or' 2 separate detectors. Either 110 volt 'or' portable battery operated ones. (2) Also I wish there was a 'little' more of a larger size "cooking surface" on top of the stove.

Not a bad price. I paid over $1200 for my Dickinson P9000 propane fireplace with all the accessories. A wood burner would pump out more BTUs. The Dickinson gives off good heat but your cabin or van needs to be well insulated to get the best efficiency. They also sell a solid fuel stove for $625 + the chimney pieces, but it has only a small viewing glass on it.

Just received my Dweller 2.0 last week. Haven't used it yet as I bought it for a 12' x 8' Solera Family Room I'll be installing on my Salem/Forest River RB167 travel trailer once the weather breaks. This area is the high desert in New Mexico and the foothills of the Rockies so nights get a might nippy here even during the warmer weather. I'll probably fire up the stove Sunday as the temps will be in the upper 50s for a burn-in. I'm assuming it'll throw enough heat and ambiance to make the room nice and cozy. Inflatable furniture and an outdoor carpet will complete the look and functionality.

The only issue that I see, is that the flue pipe sections seem to go together the wrong way round. The flue pipe sections are sliding over the outside rather than sliding/fitting inside, this will cause creosote to run to the outside of the flue pipe, that's if I have seen it right. Other than that, Nice wood burner.

Good video. For the people asking about the lack of a pipe damper assume that is because every thing is controlled by the air intake. Also people were confused as why you changed from metric to SAE in your video also assume that you reading off a a spec. sheet and like most Canadians you switch back and forth. I still use SAE for most of my stuff and luckily I work for an American company so it's not a problem for me but the younger workers get confused.

Now, the price $386 is a bit high, but its a great boy toy... I remember we built a simular size heating stove for our fire resistant 12X12' canvas mountain man pyramid tent and the tent was toasty in 15 minutes after being almost freezing outside...

What would you recommend to have the smoke go out a window? Is there a accessory like a curved pipe and how would a curved pipe affect the performance?

I use 2 45⁰ elbow pieces in my truck, similar to a window ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kxXW9pqB6Yc.html

My thoughts exactly, nice to have for emergencies use if it's comes with the right curve pipe for the windows.

Our canvas mountain man tents have a fireproof ring the stove pipe goes through... it should not be hard to get something simular and most old house wood stoves will have a horizontal stove pipe going to the chimney... Very fondly remember my maternal Grandmothers rural Maine farmhouse, had two wood stoves... a huge one in the kitchen and a heater stove in the living room about 4 feet tall on six inch legs and about 24 inches square likewise had a window that seldom fogged up... milk right from the cow, eggs from the chickens, SO much better that anything else you get today! everything cooked on the old stove!!! :)

little bit bigger of a firebox, a through-hull and some tactful tac welds and this would be great for a boat

Nice little stove and seems economical. I have a cubic grizzly in my homebrew truck camper. It's not portable that's for sure, but I'd say it's in the same "size" family of stoves. Wood stove tech has certainly evolved on the small stoves!!!

@@Lonewolfwildcamping Do you have a Kni-Co to compare? I'd be curious to see how they stack up against each other. I'm looking to buy my first wood stove and I'm on a budget, hence my initial comment.
