Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good ru-vid.comUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.

Excellent presentation. And unlike some people on here your stoves have obviously been used. So many of these people pull it out of the box and try to tell you if it's good or not without ever using it. Excellent job

One of these woodburners would be brilliant in my shed! A full size wood burner would just pump out FAR too much heat, but one of these smaller ones would be ideal.

well at about 20 bucks american for a 3mm 1mx1m sheet of titanium and some hard work and few dozen drills and hacksaw blades yes you could ... the question then comes down to how much was your time making it worth ... so that 20 bucks of titanium sheet and say 200 hours of work ... you to can have a custom built functional camp stove with all the features you were willing to make or could make ...

Personal preference, the foldable woodstove may be ok and a bit lighter. But I'd rather have the heavier ones just because they are more durable. I've used one in the beginning of January in north east USA to heat a makeshift tent shelter made from PVC pipe and cheap tarps and cook on as well. Once we got the stovepipe setup right and above the roof height of tent, it was above 70°F inside and a very chilly 23°F outside.

@@nelsonminingandabandonedplaces Glad you enjoy the videos. We have not considered Connie having her own cooking channel. I'm not sure that it would be appealing to the larger audience. However we do have "Connie's Camp Cooking" video playlist on the main channel. So in essence it is a sort of dedicated cooking channel within a channel.

Right on. Yeah I'm gonna have to check some of those out. I've been really stepping up my winter game. Did a lot of snow shoe camping last year, and Im thinking of getting into the "Hot Tent" scene. It gets down to the -30s F around here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan sometimes. Even the warmest sleep systems are tested at those temps. I wouldn't mind pulling an 8lbs titanium stove around with my other gear in a sled. Thanks.

I have the outbacker stove. I used the top warming grill from my bbq as a grate inside the stove. It's the correct width to fit inside. I just cut off about 10cm in length. I never use the front door on it. I top load the wood and the draw is strong enough that no smoke ever escapes.

Very useful overview 👍 I've had a kifaru stainless slot together stove that was very good but fiddly. Also I've found that in a salty coastal environment the steel does eventually corrode, especially on the threads of the bolts... but also the stove pipe. So I've now gone for a titanium goat cylinder stove for backpacking. And I like the look of Nortent's folding stove for canoe/kayak trips.

My Luxe 3W got some good use but I was tried of putting it together especially after some warping. And it was too small for me. I got the Pomoly T1 and it's just about perfect. I like the "standard" damper opposed to the card style.
@xristinarose2409
@xristinarose2409 2 года назад
Does it make a noticeable temperature difference inside a tent?
@OneclickOutside
@OneclickOutside 2 года назад
@@xristinarose2409 I just got back from a trip with the Pomoly stove. It wasn't very cold outside (25-30°F) but it was easily 65-70° inside. 75° on occasion. Of course it depends on where the thermometer is placed. I don't "cheat"; I keep it low/sitting height and away from the stove. My 3W stove may have kept up, but it would have been feeding it more smaller wood, frequently. Small stoves generate lots of coals, so you'll want a shovel and metal pan to empty and make room for more wood. I think the 3W stove would work better in the small teepee tents they sell. I use a larger cabin-style tent.
