Please enjoy my pompadour undercut haircut tutorial. This is something I am seeing more of where the hair is blended in the back and corners but is somewhat disconnected on the sides.
I used a number 2 guard up to a 3 1/2, then blended in the back by hand. The back goes from 1 inch then blends into about 5-6 inches in the front.
You can use a paste to style.

TheSalonGuy I have a problem. When I was younger I used to put hand lotion in my hair and now my hair is completely dry. I've tried hair masks and oil treatments. Nothing seems to be working. When I use argan oil it looks better but only when I have argan oil in my hair. With out it, my hair looks dry again. Is there a permanent solution?

Blonde hair might require more product because it's finer than other hair but hairstyles can work. I know this because I'm a natural light blonde guy.

how to figure out what hair belongs to the top and what belongs to the side. Due to my head shape (rounder rather than a square) I think too many barbers have cut too much of my top hair mistaking then for my sides and leaving so little at the top that I looked like a carrots. Is there a way to determine without doubts where the sides ends and the top begins?

+LD.Tube rub your fingers up and down where the corners of your head are on the sides and you will feel where it rounds upwards. You want it cut in the middle
