For more information, visit www.zulublu.com/. Pompano Drop Off is located south of Hilsboro Inlet, directly off the public beach in Pompano Beach. You can access Pompano Drop Off by launching a private boat at Alsdorf Park boat ramp, or launching a kayak or paddleboard off the public beach at the end of Atlantic Blvd. or SE 8th St. in Pompano Beach. The main ledge is 20’ to 30’ deep and marked by 52 mooring buoys. When coming from shore, there are numerous coral heads and smaller ledges 8’ to 12’ deep. Approximately 200 yards east of the buoys there is another ledge that is 45’ to 60’ deep. This video was filmed both in the shallow water approximately 100 to 200 yards towards shore from the mooring buoys and around the mooring buoys on the main ledge. If you plan on snorkeling, try the shallow areas 100 to 200 yards toward shore from the mooring buoys. For free diving and scuba diving, try the main ledge under the mooring buoys.
