That was the most primal scream I've heard from any of the NijiEN girls. That was deep from the soul. That was "I forgot I was suppose to be the entertainer and became a fan again" scream.
also love how she cried when Jack's face was revealed, but the moment the drums for the opening of "Snake Eater" started to beat she literally *screeched*, as if that was the thing that really made it dawn on her that yes, MGS3 remake is real
We joke, but I did actually notice a bump in newly produced MGS videos and playthroughs once Pomu had been hooked for a few months. Something has clearly triggered a network effect bumping MGS popularity as of late, and I kinda think she's part (just part) of the reason: how many young fans of her must have gone to look for more MGS content, slowly boosting MGS in the RU-vid algorithm?
As great as Pomu's reaction is (including her literally JUMPING out of her chair and running away from her mic while screaming to keep from peaking it too much), I love Nina jumping into their Discord call for five seconds to go "Congrats!" and then dipping.
TRUE - context for anyone else, Nina was actually playing the beginning of MGS3 at this very moment, so she hopped into Pomu's call on stream, said congrats, then dipped
@@sumstuff6956 They are real women, they're just putting on a digital costume so to speak. Their voices might sound weird at first, but those are their real voices. For some it's their natural way of speaking, for others they are playing up a certain way of speaking for entertainment, but that doesn't make make them any less real than Mark Hamill is for playing Luke Skywalker or the Joker.
@@sumstuff6956 There's a thing called "streamer voice" where a person intentionally makes their voice sound more "excited" because that's what people like to see. It's still 100% their real voice.
The funniest part about this is Nani, who just finished the final highlight video of Pomu Gear and was probably looking forward to moving on with their life, just in time for this to drop.
It's really insane how perfect the timeline of events leading to this is, from Pomu playing through the whole series and falling so deep into it that it's become a core part of her persona, to Nina JUST finishing Virtuous Mission before this, I don't think there could have been a better time to drop the announcement. Truly a charmed fairy 💚
I'm starting to think those two giving so much love and attention to the series had a hand in making this happen. And on that note...you think we could get someone in Niji to play through the Legacy of Kain games? I'd love for _someone_ to motivate Embracer to give us the sequel to Defiance that Square-Enix denied us for 20 years.
Bro, Nina's stream was the first time I watched mgs3 and they had JUST SAID THERE WAS A SNAKE THAT EATS GATORS IN THE JUNGLE. So when that happened in the trailer I was like !?!?!?
The timeline checks out. Pomu plays MGSR, suddenly the meme machine explodes onto the internet again to the tune of a million 'Raiden wailing on Armstrong' parody videos. Pomu continues the series and the collective internet consciousness starts to remember MGS, then finally, this happens. Now, I'm not saying Pomu playing MGSR was the start of a domino effect that lead to this game, but I'm also not saying that ISN'T what happened
Honestly Pomu became a fan at the perfect time, she didn't have to wait literally nearly a *decade* for anything new for Metal Gear like me and others have. Well that and also like 0.01% of us even have the means to buy the pachislot MGS3 lol
i rewatched the trailer a lot to finally notice: the frog is that "poison dart frog", that bird is the end's parrot and In the background the helicopters were carrying the Shagohod wow LMAO
I'm not even a diehard Pomu fan, but I checked in here and there with some of her streams. This moment alone today during stream makes me want to watch her more. I genuinely get really happy hearing people fanboy / fangirl over stuff this hard. It's just fun to see their genuine excitement :3
Its a LOT of content, but I would 100% suggest watching her metal gear playthroughs. If you are a fan yourself, seeing her grow to love and then absolutely obsess over the franchise was amazing
diehard MGS fan, occasional Pomu enjoyer, lemme tell you, when I watched her stream the very end of MGS4 I was surprised to hear her cry in such a heartfelt way, like she REALLY cared for Snake, Boss, Otacon and the others She went from "what's MGS" to "hehe MGR funny, the memes DNA of the soul", to "let's check out the other games" to playing ALL the games (including the NES games, excluding MGAcid and Snake's Revenge) and having her Metal Gear brainrot reach meme status
greatest part is, she screamed when Jack appeared, but the thing that actually broke her down *screeching and ugly crying* was the drums at the beginning of Cynthia Harrel's song. I think that even after seeing Snake she didn't fully realize the extent, but the ingrained memory of the best opening in the MGS series really pushed over the edge that yes, MGS3 remake is real
I love it when you still get pleasantly surprised by something you were completely expecting. Pomu being hyped is always great to see and her banter with ninaur about mgs is always great.
she even said herself at around two minutes in the video. Her brainrot was too strong, so when she saw the dead frog she was like "hehe someday you'll feed on a tree frog", then the birb appeared, then the SNAKE appeared and started fighting with the alligator, making her fully go "waaaitamminnit"....and that's why after 0:57 you could see how she tensed up, because her neurons had put the pieces together but didn't really believe till the end Which is why when Jack appeared she screamed, and when the drums for Cynthia Harrel's "Snake Eater" started beating she broke down ugly-crying and screeching
Despite my own personal hidtory and joy with MGS, Pomu is who single handedly reminded me WHY I love the series. So her joy makes me so happy and I am so excited to watch her enjoy more Metal Gear! The timing couldn't have been better!
I love how, no matter the time, no matter the place, hearing the Snake Eater theme will get a visceral emotional reaction from Pomu. All we need to know about the foot situation is…How does it taste?
"Snake, areyou seriously asking me how YOUR OWN FOOT tastes like?" "Name's Pomu and yes" "Snake, do you realize the implications of eating a part of your body and..." "THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED PARAMEDIC"
Man Im old and hurt and exhausted, but it brings me great joy to hear Pomu screaming her heart out amd running around her room in excitement for MGS3 remake. Snake eater is possibly my favourite game ever, I don’t know who’s working in this, but i hope they knock it out of the park somehow.
As someone who's been playing MGS since 1998 and have met both David Hayter and Cam Clarke, I'm hyped! I really hope Konami actually took their time to make this right.
I got the good news and bad news. Good news is that Pomu reincarnated, but the bad news is that you must never call her Pomu. It's very rude and taboo to call the vTuber in their stream their old name and mention their past life.
While I admit I still cringe at how bad she plays Metal Gear games, the reason I stick with her is that her love for Metal Gear was so damn contagious. It surpasses even my own love for the series.
@@ChaldeaWarmaster Roughly arcade cabinet sized if not maybe somewhat bigger; So it wasn't exactly a small thing to get ahold of, specially since she got hers in Japan.
That fangirl scream lol, beautiful It looks like Pomu's investment buying MGS Pachinko machine has paid off xD But then again it's Konami... I fear what they would do for money
I'm new to your channel, thanks to MGS announce. But I will see all your gameplay from MGS games. This games changed My life , it is amazing journey :)
Happy for Pomu and low key excited. So long as there isn’t too many drastic changes, I will look into it when I can. Worst case scenario, there are ‘necessary changes to adapt to a modern audience’ for a game set in 1964. I’ll keep my hopes up, and set expectations flat to the ground, like Snake’s butt in Smash Ultimate.
Wait... I just realized that the master collection said volume 1... they're gonna release more in the future I hope it's also coming to Steam at some point
at least for the collection it is confirmed for steam too! they tweeted a promo image that's also on the website with all console logos + steam letsgoooo
I've been largely immovable by remakes and nostalgia marketing, but this one actually stirs something in me. I remember doing zero kill zero alert extreme mode (or whatever the highest difficulty level was) speed runs of Snake Eater in my dorm room as a sophomore in college. Think the best I managed was 2 hours, but that was just me doing my best by myself with no help from the internet. It's been a while, but between this and Armored Core vi, I feel like there's something to actually look forward to in gaming that I haven't felt since Anthem let me down.
While it's great to see Pomu's reaction and glee at this trailer, I can't bring myself to be as excited since Konami will find SOME WAY to utterly screw this up.
I love that she screamed when Snake's face appeared, started crying while taking all that in, only to completely lose it the moment "Snake Eater" began to play, sending her into a screeching and ugly-crying frenzy If that's not dedication to the fandom, I don't know what is
I miss that feeling. I remember the time when the E3s or showcases were like Christmas for me. Now, with leaks and mediocre AAA games that feeling is gone. Now I have a mix of mistrust and dissapoinment towards the industry. Makes me happy to see honest reactions from gamers that still have that fire.
I like to think pomu is part of the reason this remake is a thing. Surely all the converted pomudachis has lead to more interest in past metal gear games, and maybe deva noticed!
I don't know if they're adding any new lines or anything but I just sort of need them to have paramedic make some sort of reference to entertainers of the future being fairies and fox moms or something. I'd pay to see Pomu and Nina's reaction to it.
As excited as I am I have been burned by recent remakes, Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 specifically, as they often change the story and REMOVE content I'm tempering my excitement. Still Cute and ADORABLE! Great Job and also Thank You for the English Subtitles too! :)
I would give anything to be as passionate about something as Pomu is about Metal Gear. And to think, if she'd never joined Nijisanji she might never have played it.
