Hello Rich and Helen, Your videos are so helpful and well produced. We found your Ponant Caribbean videos. Tomorrow we board the Le Bellot and will have a similar itinerary as what you had. Your video made us book and gave us great ideas on what to do and what not to do. We will go to Shell Beach in St.Barts. We have been to Frigate Bay many times but never to the Shipwreck Bar. On our list to visit. We have been to Dominica many times but prefer the Rousseau port on the island. Plus- we watched your Uniworld video for Bordeaux to Bordeaux on the Bon Voyage and booked the same one for April. Thank you!

Wow, thank you so much. We hope you love them both. We’d love to hear your thoughts on Le Bellot when you return. Have a great time 🚢❤️

@@visitwithus so far it’s been wonderful. We are in the Blue Eye Lounge right now. Leaving St. Barths soon. On to Jost Van Dyke tomorrow for Painkillers and beach. We have been sharing your videos. We will let you know more when we return to Canada.

@@visitwithus Hello Rich and Helen, We are home and missing the Caribbean after a wonderful 2 weeks. Our thoughts on Le Bellot- The ship is beautiful, crew extremely professional offering a high level of customer service you don't experience on the larger ships. Within 24 hours the crew that we came in contact with knew our names and some of the things we liked. We had the exactly the same type of cabin as you. The exceptional itinerary was almost the same as yours, taking us to places and experiences that only a small ship can offer. This was the captain's first cruise on Ponant. Very professional keeping safety first, however also friendly and welcoming. We were honored to be invited to have dinner with him on one of the nights A very memorable night. The entertainment was excellent offering the same professional level of talent you find on larger ships. We loved the Blue Eye, however it was not open every day. At best 1/2 of the days on board and the bar did not have anything to offer on some of those days. They did offer a fantastic Beatles/Rolling stones video night and a karaoke night. The bar was open those nights. Bottom line - we will probably try Ponant again one day, Your video "A week on a SUPERYACHT" has us looking in that direction for our next Caribbean adventure. We did see that ship when we were in St. Barts. It looked beautiful. Our next Rich and Helen adventure is in April on the Uniworld Bon Voyage. Stay tuned :)

Love the room and style kind of like a westin hotel. Greatest voice by far for cruise channels. I'm sure you guys will do a ritz carlton cruise soon.

Another very nice stateroom tour. Thank you. I'm already subscribed, but just realized I needed to hit the bell for notification. About the separate toilet...I wish there were at least a small sink in that closet.

Interesting the way the bathroom window privacy shutter is controlled from outside the bathroom. Kinda defeats the purpose unless it’s locked from the inside…. It’s like having the bathroom door lock from the outside ;-)

Great point! We never thought of that! Well observed. 👍

Nice cabin - quite Viking-esque. The sliding door across the bathroom window is a great idea which some other lines need to copy. Interested to hear in your full vlog whether there was much movement on board when out at sea as the itinerary and ship look excellent.

Thank you Robin 👍 We had a bit of movement on the first few nights, especially as we sailed from Martinique up to BVI but it settled down considerably after that and we didn’t have any movement later on in the cruise.

What a sweet (no pun intended!) little suite. Very stylish but quite compact and not too fond of interconnecting doors (unless they’re open of course), it’s interesting that they remove the bed in the other one to make a proper lounge area. I’m not sure I’m particular keen on the window to the bathroom either. Not that I ever sail with anyone of course 😂. Otherwise a real big tick from me for Ponant

Haha! Thanks Peter. Yes, these suites are a little snug compared to the likes of Silversea but their design is very nice. As we said, not all suites have the interconnecting 'wall' and you can pull across the shutter on the bathroom so they kind of figured out that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. :)

Yes, a definite Scandi feel. Thanks for watching 👍

Add me to the list that really likes the room and the Scandinavian feel I get from it. As loath as I am to offer an criticism, and this is probably not a well founded fear but rather just based on my ignorance of cruising - you said you had not read through the material they gave you in the room that I believe included programs. I would hope you would not accidentally miss out on some event or meeting (especially one if it happened to feature complimentary adult beverages) by prioritizing entertaining us over your enjoyment of your cruise.

Haha, fear not Bruce, we had already been to the lounge for a welcome glass of champagne and didn’t miss out on anything by bringing you this review of our gorgeous suite 😁 Thanks for watching 👍

Do you typically do laundry while on these ships? Have you ever forgotten camera equipment etc. when leaving your cabin at the end of the trip? Forgive me for not thinking of these for the Live or forgive me if you’ve answered elsewhere 😁 #CabinTourThoughts 😂
@visitwithus
@visitwithus Год назад
Hi Jennifer. Thanks for the questions. Yes we often do laundry on a cruise although we still take way too many clothes - really need to refine our packing in 2023 😂 We are very meticulous on going through all of the cupboards etc when we leave our cabin and have not left anything yet - but there’s always a first for everything 😆 Hope you can join us on our next live - we love answering your questions 👍

Love the cabin. Classy, classic and stylish. Very relaxing and well built. Although not a fan of interconnecting doors as if not insulated well noise travels through. Must admit never ever understood the glass wall to the bathroom concept: do great numbers of people really have a fetish to watch their middle aged partners brush their teeth, wash their bits or shave while they relax on the bed???
@PonantCruises
@PonantCruises Год назад
Hello @xr6lad, The idea behind these bathroom windows is for passengers to enjoy the spectacular views of the destinations where our ships sail while they brush their teeth or shave. This way, they won't miss a single detail of, for example, the jungle we're going through or the paradise-like island outside. Regarding the doors, we can assure you that they are thick and have been designed with privacy in mind. Regards, the PONANT team.

We loved the glass window to the bathroom. Not only did it give a great view out to sea, it let natural light into the bathroom. And conversely we found it useful when it was dark to leave the bathroom light on to give a nice light in the suite. You could always shut the screen if you don’t want people to see you in the bathroom 🤷 We didn’t find the interconnecting door to be an issue at all and tbh I don’t think there are many rooms like this - most rooms have the corner sofa instead. But like you say a very stylish and comfortable room, we loved it.

Ponant is not a cruise line I’d recommend. Had a really bad experience with them. They have a D at the better business bureau.

Oh dear, sorry you had a bad experience. Our experience however was completely the opposite, nothing was too much trouble both on and off the ship. We met many people in our cruise who had sailed with them many times and everyone spoke very highly of their experience. We hope you can address your issue with them and maybe give them another try.
